Hello ladies,
I am looking for a bit of advice and information...

Who out there "wears" their baby in a cloth sling or carrier? Is there anything that you can recommend (and why do you recommend this particular one)? What do you like best about your baby carrier?

Any help would be so much appreciated! Thank you!!!

I've worn my 6 month old in a moby (when he was a newborn), a gauze wrap in the heat of Arkansas, and in a ring sling. The moby is great for newborns, but once they get to be about 10lbs it starts to hurt. Plus, the stretchy fabric isn't very supportive once they become more squirmy. The gauze wrap was great, but it did require some time to put him in it. I love my ring sling to pieces. It's easy as can be to toss him in and go, so its perfect for quick trips to the store or any kind of outing really. I've also tried the Ergo (wasn't a fan for a lot of reasons) and the Infantino Mei Tai wanna-be and absolutely hated it. I would definitely suggest a ring sling.

I have a baby back pack...my son did well in it and actually preferred it when he was just born. The one I had supported his head n neck and folds down for when they are older. Just be careful of your back. I had to stop using it bc i have back problems to begin with n my son is huge. He was 20 lbs at 4 months n now at 16 months he's bout 35 lbs n 3 feet tall. It's hard to lift all that weight.

Oh Yes I am an avid baby wearer!!! even at 14 months old I prefer to wrap my son and i am 5 months preggo...I Have a Moby Wrap and absolutly love it! it can be wrapped several different ways (there is even a wrap to put them on your hip-which is helpful when working around the house and baby wants to be held or in my case working around a pregnant belly) It can be used up until the child is around 40 pounds-about the age of 2 or so....I tryed a few other kinds of carriers...but non compared-this one distributes the weight across your back very well and does not cause the strain that many of the other ones do! you can go to mobywrap.com and check them out if you like...once you learn to wrap it-ITS A BREEZE! Hope that helps!!
