Back to work after baby?????

I say stay home if you can! I have a 3 month old and I have to work 3 days a week, it is so hard to be away. If you get bored you can always work only a couple days a week. You could also join mommy and me groups or go to classes with your baby to keep you occupied. But remember, they are only babies for a little while, so enjoy it while you can.

I went on Maternity leave 2 1/2 years ago and never went back to work. I am busier now than I ever was when I was working, and I love every moment. I get to be there for all my daughter's firsts and we plan to home school too. I encourage all mom's to stay home if they can. It's the most rewarding job ever.

i went back to work immediately with my son...but with my daughter i couldnt afford the daycare costs to i stayed home with her for the first 3 years. It is boring and can be VERY stressful if you dont get a break and have some time to yourself at least once a week. on the up side you wont miss any of the many milestones your baby will have and you will never fall behind on your housework...lol. I loved being home with my kids for 3 years but i was definately glad to go back to work when the time came.

I stayed home for the first year with my first and I needed grownup talk too. I went back to work. Dont get me wrong it was really hard, I cried and felt so horrible but I got used to it and now I like to work. After the second I went back after 6 weeks.

I know how you feel! Trust me you wouldn't be bored!!! I was working until we had our second (my girls are 3yrs and 1yr old) and staying home is so much better. I get to take them to storytime and other places that I couldn't before. We couldn't afford it either which is why I just had to find a way to work from home. Now I'll never look back! I am closer to my children and like my new job a lot better!

Well I stayed at home with My son for the 1st year. I mean you do get wore out at times, but I loved it. I just decided I had to go back to school to have a career. So I would just take some time to stay at home...and then if you didn't like it you could always go back to work. Hope everything goes great for your family!!

I went back to work after my first son and it was hard, but luckily I found a fabulous daycare that happened to be ran by my step brother-in-law and his Mom. When my second baby came around I ended up not being able to go back to work for health reasons. Let me tell you being a stay at home Mom is way more work than anything I did at the office. There are ups and downs for both. Don't kid yourself staying home means that the house no matter what you do looks like a tornado has hit it once the baby gets big enough to make a mess, you can get it picked up and withing ten minutes it's destroyed again. My husband and I had to sit down and have a discussion that staying home with the kids did not mean the house would look like something out of a magazine, it's hard work with kids around. But it's also so rewarding because you get to see all the first you might miss when they are in daycare. OH and at some point you might go a bit stir crazy so it's really important for your spouse to get you out of the house or take car of kiddo so you can go out. The lack of adult conversation can make you crazy. Oh and don't let anyone kid you being a stay at home Mom is 24/7 and that's what makes it different cuz it's not like the office where at 5:00 your done . . . am I rambling or am I making any sense?
