I was just curious if anyone else bathes their 2 month old daily? I haven't yet. I bathe him twice a week or and have done so since he came home. Lately, I have been reading that babies need a bedtime routine. He ALWAYS fights sleep at night so I thought it would be a good idea to bathe him, read him one of his little books, feed him, then put him to bed. He is very developed for his age. He holds his head up often on his own, weighs 12.5 pounds and is 25 inches long. Thanks for any advice!

I bathe my 2 month old every other day...With my other 3 i bathed them everyother day until they started getting really mobile and moving around a lot then i bathe everyday but i never noticed any change in their sleep...A bedtime routine does help though like maybe reading and feeding them before bed because then they know its bed time but i think only when they get older like around 1 or 2. It helps them relax before bed so they arent all roudy and stuff and they know what to expect..but ar this young 2 months i dont think its necessary.

Your son sounds like he's about the same size as mine! I have a 3 month old (about 16 pounds and a little over 25 inches long) and I bathe him 2-3 times a week right now. I'll start bathing him more often once he's mobile and getting dirty. As far as the bedtime routine though, baths don't work for us. He gets too excited in the tub, splashes around and giggles, and has no interest in falling asleep!

I didn't bathe my son every day until he was about 4 months old. I was going every 2nd, then every other. I found it didn't really help with his sleep and still doesn't, but every baby is different. If you are having trouble, try it out but make sure you use nice hydrating baby products, like aveeno daily moisture.

my daughter will b 2 in sept n i cant remember how old she was when i started an everyday bath but i think it wasnt till she was alil odler and was able to crawl n get around cuz b4 that they really arent doing much to be getting that dirty to b needing a bath everyday. still to this day if we dnt go out anywhere at all and she didnt make a mess eating i will skip her bath. but some babies, when u start an everyday event they get used to the routine and it may upset them if u skip it but i have been pretty lucky with her.

My bubba girl is 13 weeks and I bath her every second day, and have done for a while. She LOVES the water and sleeps for 10-12 hours every night.

Good Luck :)
