so it's that time of year again and I need a bathing suit. I am struggling though because I got sick during and after my pregnancy and my weight shot up by 60 pounds and it did it fast so I have very bad stretch mark down half my leg ( I wear capris or bermudas to cover them) and I gain weight in my butt and thighs, but not on my upper part. I feel like there is a lack of bathing suits that suits my age (24 which is still young), but don't show off everything. I don't want to go to the public pool in a skimpy bathing suit and be "one of those" people, but I don't want to go in a suit that my grandmother would wear. Did anyone else have the same problem, if so where did you find a bathing suit?

Im 24 years old too and my daughter will be two in two weeks. She was 10ln 5oz at birth and I have icky stretch marks and a lil belly. I am self conciouse. But we were bringing her to an air show at jones beach. IT was sooo hot there. I just did the bikini bottoms and a tank or a tankini whatever its called. My best advice to you is settle with a tankini yea your legs still show but you are doing your best. But when you go to the beach look at the other people rather then yourself. Some ppl look pretty scary out there and they are wearing speedos eeeew. You cant look anywhere near as bad as others do.

i am having that same problem. i havent been in a swim suit since my son was born and he will be 3 next month. before him i had a really nice body and would flaunt it in a bikini, but there is NO WAY i can do that now. and since we now have a pool all my friends are coming over wanting to swim and last weekend my friend came over and had a very cute 2 piece on but the top was like a tank top except the straps went around her neck like a necklace and the bottoms had a skirt attached. it was beautiful! she said she got it from wal-mart and i'm going there tomorrow to get me one because i leave on vacation next tuesday(6-22-10). and there is no way i will be cought in a bikini ever again!!!

I have seen a lot of cute tankinis and one pieces lately that cater to the younger crowd. I think Target has a nice selection as do a lot of department stores. I have a 2 piece from Target that I really enjoy. I've found that the 2 pieces I had before my daughter don't fit on top anymore lol. Can't go to swim lessons with your boobs hanging out lol. :)

I got my swim suit at Kohl's and it is a skirt bottom with a spaghetti strap tankini top. The top as rouching on the sides that way you can make it as long or as short as you are comfortable with. I have mine personally set so that it looks like a one piece.

You can get a cute tankini top and one of those short cute bathing suit skirts.

I got mine at JC Penney. It's a halter style tankini and has a skirt built in to the bottoms. I like it b/c it covers my belly and upper thighs, but it has a very deep V neckline (I have a small chest and can carry it off) which makes it a little sexier than say a swimsuit my mom would wear!
