My daughter Loves Taggies! I watched her stick the silk tag from her bib in and out of her mouth for 40 mins. So I bought her a small 7 dollar taggies blanket that has colorful silk tags all around the edges. When I showed it to her her eyes got really big and you could see the awe in her eyes. She loves it!

at that age both my kids went for things that weren't really toys.. Plastic containers, a plate, a spoon, a plastic hanger.. DOnt' waste a ton of money on those highly interactive baby/kids toys because in my experience, kids like playing with random things a lot more!

i'd look into Discovery Toys if i were you... they sell alot of age appropriate toys for kids of all ages that not only help them learn and develop skills in some way, shape, or form, but they also let the kid have fun while they're doing it which makes it even more fun for the child while playing bc they never even realize that they are learning!
they are relatively inexpensive (compared to other toy companies) too and have outstanding lifetimes (dont want to use the word warranties, bc that implies you can always send it back if it breaks and get a new one and i dont want to mislead you with wrong information, but thats the only word that comes to mind right now) so they're unlikely to break real easily like a toy you'd get at dollar tree or walmart and such..
Anything without sharp edges or small pieces! My 6 month old likes to play with ANYTHING she can get her little hands on. Plastic cups are great. Today I sat her in front of the fridge and let her play with the magnets. She likes anything that crinkles. They make toys with crinkly parts (she has a few), but magazines work just fine, too.
