My daughter is now 15months old and I have full custody of her. My daughter and I live with my boyfriend of 1 year in Washington State. My dautghters dad left us when she was 1month old and got himself into a bunch of trouble. Now her real dad has been in a live in councling program a type of rhab to learn how to become a better man. Me and her dad are now of great terms but he lives in Arizona. He is at the point in his program that he can get weekend passes to go out as long as he is in the State of Arizona. His parents have offered to pay for my and my daughter to fly to Arizona for his first weekend pass. We wouldnt be staying the night together just Saturday and Sunday during the day so he can get to know his daughter.
The problem is my boyfriend is 110% not ok with this. He is threating to leave me and my daughter if I goto Arizona forher to see her father. He says that her dad should have to wait to see her until he can come to her and until he is out of rhab.
I truely feel it is right of me to put in the effort for her to get to know her dad. But do I risk my boyfriend the person she knows to be her dad to do this?
