Just curious on what people think of the name Dilynn-Marie for a girl.. hub thinks Dylan is strictly a boys name. Yet im so into the Dilynn, Ryann, Jordan.. etc for girls :) What do you think?

I like "Alex" for a little girl. If we ever decide to have another baby and it ends up being a girl her name is going to be Alexandrea Brises McFadden =) "Alex" for short. My husband isn't a big fan. He thinks it sounds funny being so Greek with an Irish last name. but we made a deal during our first pregnancy that he gets to name any boys and I get to name the girls lol so he has no choice in this matter. =)

I LOVE boy's names for girls!!! My dh vetoed every name I suggested for our daughter (Devon, Dylan, Logan, Jordan (although that's my hubbys name lol) Ryan, Charlie, Billy, Austin) We ended up naming her Brooklynn :( It's not a bad name, just not my taste lol.

I Love the name Dilynn-Marie!! i like the way you re-spelled it. It looks like a girl's name. Maybe your husband will start liking the name the more you mention it, and show him that not everyone thinks it is too much like a boy's name to work for a girl. I hope this helps!

I have a Sidney Marie who is a girl but with the male spelling of the name. She was named after my grandfather so I kept the spelling the same but I love names like Dylan and jordan. I mean my name is Kristen Cory. But as long as you add a girl name in there who cares! So I say go for it! It's not like you are wanting to name your son Sissy Maria! LOL

I infact know a Ryan that is a woman. I think its a lovely name. I also know a Jordan, she's a sweet girl. As for Dilynn, I've never met one, but I am in love with the name you picked, Dilynn-Marie. I think its so adorable and definitely not masculine. So there's my thoughts. Hope it helps.

I like what they call the unisex names. I have a Daryan Jane and she is a girl of course. Her dad heard that name in a movie and wanted it. People hear it when I talk about her and think it is for a boy but I looked in baby book and it is for both. I think you should name your baby what YOU like not what others do. I also think having a different name is original. Good luck. I also like how you spelled Dilynn! beautiful.

I actually know a Ryann, and I think those names work great with girls as long as you keep them in pink! People will often mistake them for boys if you don't but that won't be much of a problem when they're older. Good Luck

I agree with you, when I was picking out baby names, all the ones I was picking out for girls, my boyfriend thought were strictly boys names. But I think when you change around the spelling it works, like I like Dilynn. If I was having a girl I was gonna name her Caiden, but spell it Kayden, since I though it looked more girly spelled that way.

I like it! Especially with the spelling! Also My mom went to school with a girl named Kyle and a boy named Rene. So no worries! If we have a girl we are naming her Finley, we got the idea from a male song artist named Finley Quay. So I completely understand.

I loveee boys names for girls. Like Rylie, Colbie, Ryanne, Jordyn, Dilynn is really cute!! I know a girl named Dustyn! I also know a little girl named Ryanne. We named our daughter Hailee Marie, only because that was the only girl name we could agree on...hopefully we don't have another girl lol we'll never agree on something!

I don't mind Dilynn for a girl at all!! I have a younger sister named Jordan, so that ones fine as well! Ryann im kind of unsure about! However it is your child so you should choose a name you feel will suit your child!

i like dilynn! i named my daughter kaidyn and everybody who has never met her automatically thinks she is a boy. kaidyn i believe is the number 1 boy name of 2009. i personally think it sounds more like a girls name then a boys but hey who knows. also on the charlies angels movies one of the angels name is dilynn. dont think its spelled that way but it just does go to show names can go either way. good luck

Well we named our son Dillon, but i do like it for a girl too. If we were to have had a girl we would have named her Kamryn, which is mostly used as a boys name (usually spelled Cameron, tho)... so i love boys names for girls! I also liked Drew and Taylor.
