Buying hair?

Umm I'm kind of on the fence with this one. I don't really see a problem with selling it, and I mean if you need the cash why not? But I don't see a problem with donating it for a good cause. I guess you do what you want to do! It's your hair and it'll grow back! It's not like you can't donate it later down the road when it's long again to make it even! Lol....go with what YOU wanna do!

Why be selfish? Donate your hair. My mother got a wig through Locks of Love when my sister and I both shaved our heads. Our hair was almost to our knees and we decided if my mom was going to be bald, we were going to be to. We donated our hair and wouldn't you know, my mom ended up finding the one made from our hair!

Emma, they are people who get off on seeing hair getting cut or thinking about it. They often will request a video of the haircut along with the hair that they buy from you. Just a heads up. Really gross lol

I'd do it. I don't see anything wrong with it. I mean, it's your hair, your choice, and if you need the money, go for it, as long as it's legit. You can do lots of other things for charity, like donate food and things people really need. I'd rather go to a physical location to sell my hair than sell it online. The internet can be pretty fishy sometimes.

There are actually sites like ebay for this. Wigmakers buy hair. For really good quality hair and well preserved, it can go for $2,000. They will ask if you smoke, have ever colored your hair and how often you wash it. These will all affect the price. Washing your hair every day decreases the quality.

I've done this also when I had long hair.

Just watch out for hair cutting fetishists.

I never heard of it and I would not trust it. I would much rather donate my hair to Locks of Love, which I have done since my first hair cut and now my almost 5yr old daughter is doing the same thing!

I have not heard of this. If you are strapped for cash,it really is up to you. I however would never consider selling mine. I would rather donate it so that someone else can have the joy. Who would seriously buy hair anyways?
