My daughter was born w/a chronic runny nose which also became clogged. Take him to an ENT (Ear, nose, and throat doctor!) My daughter also snored since the day she was born. At 10 months old she had an adenoidectomy (adenoids removed) and her second set of bilateral ear tubes. A cold, stuffy nose, runny nose, any of those things can clog up the part of the ear on the inside which allows the ear to drain of any fluids, sorry I can't think of the name of it, but then the fluid in the ear has no where to drain so it sits in the middle ear and causes an ear infection. My daughter had her first ear infection at about 3 or 4 months old and had them chronic (got off meds for one and got another ear infection w/in the next week! :(). The adenoids being removed did not stop the runny nose, but did eliminate the snoring. She is now 4.5yrs old and still has a chronic runny nose and a night time cough which could be from her nose draining down the back of her throat, I have to take her back to her ENT. Her pediatrician has prescribed Singular for us to try. Please try your hardest to prevent all of this madness from your son!! It is a very rough road, and I hope your little boy doesn't go through the same, but I am here if you have any more questions.

Also, my son has had a stuffy nose since birth, he is now 4 months old. He came down w/a cough about 3 or 4 weeks ago, which his pediatrician said would go away on it's own, well finally 2 days ago he comes up w/the possibility of it being a sinus infection and I believe the sinus infection/cough and congestion not being taken care of caused his ear infection. I'm so terrified that he may go down the same road as my daughter... yes, I have been through it already, but I'm still not ready for it again.

GOOD LUCK!!!

The only thing I can think of is the something to do with the sinuses, because when I have sinus issues the snot is green and gross, but other than that I don't know..
