I am having a had time coming up with different foods to give my daughter, I do store bought baby food but I also offer her table food after she had table food she hates the jared stuff, she wants the consistancey to be thick and chunky, is anyone else preparing there own foods what are you feeding them?? And can I give her scrambled eggs?

You can feed your 7 month old a whole egg even the whites as long as it is fully cooked, as eggs can carry salmonela. It would be an idea to hard boil the egg and then mash it would probably be more the way to go to make sure it is fully cooked.

The book baby led weaning by Gill Rapely, helped me figure this all out. I do baby led weaning and you can give a baby pretty much anything as long as its healthy and low in sugar and salt. I dont do jar food except prunes now and then. My lo eats only finger foods that are large enough for her to hold and take bites off of.

I gave my daughter scrambled eggs when she was 9 months. That's also when she started refusing the bottle and only wanted sippy cups. I wouldn't reccomend the eggs yet....but like Gwen said, stage 3 baby food is nice and chunky :-)

no eggs till one...and some people recommend nothing with egg in it till 9 months...but try soft bits of chicken, ground meat, mashed potatoes...just be careful and do not let her eat unattended

I refuse to use store brought baby foods unless im in a situation where im out and have nothing else to give my daughter. My daughter will be 7 months old next tuesday and i give her rice cereal or weet bix for breakfast, fruit for lunch and vegetables and meat for dinner. I was advised with eggs that if there is no family history with allergies i could give them to her now, so she has been having them for about 2 weeks including the white part with no reaction. In regards to what i give her, the fruits she has are, kiwi fruit, water melon, rock melon, apples, pears, banana, nectrines, oranges, mangos and avacados. and the vegetables include sweet potato, potatoe, pumpkin, squash, beans, peas, spinach, broccoli, cauilflower, chokosm, zucchini and carrots. she loves all her foods and i make sure i dont completly puree them, i usually just mash them with a fork or potato masher so she is learning to chew and use the mouth muscles and she rarely chokes, has once or twice but its usually with something i have given her to chew on and she has broken a piece off. good luck with it.

i first gave my son eggs about 8 months, but it wasnt scrambled eggs, i gave him the white and the yolk part and he absolutly loves it, our doctor ok'd it when i asked her about it, she said as long as hes eating she has no worries, and even to this day, hes almost a yr old he'll have eggs in the morning..i think his favorite is the yolk, but i dont see anything wrong with it..

you can give ur baby eggs yellow , i started it to my 7month daughter and she loved it but you should know that theres no allergies to eggs

Mix oatmeal cereal in with the baby food. It makes it nice and thick. Also, you baby might like the seasoning in table food and jar food is just bland. We actually put a tiny bit of creole seasoning in my daughter's baby food and she loved it. As for eggs, when my daughter was 9 months the doc gave me the go ahead. She said that because I had been breastfeeding she was getting everything I was getting anyway and there should be no reason to withhold certian foods from her. No allergies here.

The stage 3 baby food in jars is thick and chunky. Eggs should wait until baby is 1 year old.
