well theres been a few times that he has said 'mama" but he doesn't say it more then once. when his granny watched him, he cried mama. want to know if its possible. Plus when I hear mama its clear as day. His dad doesn't believe me.

My babygirl said "MaMa" clear as day when she was looking right at me! she was 7 weeks old...yes weeks! There are three other people who heard it to! So its not impossible!

i dont fink es saying it i fink its just the noises he makes ma 7 month old sounds like he is saying dada but its just cose the geting used 2 the sounds and how the sound 2 them but it does sound gud when ya fink thats what there saying

my son used to say momomomomom all the time when he was 3-8 months. i always felt like he was saying "mom" but realistically, he probably just liked the sound and didn't really know what it meant. later it was obvious he could say "dadda" but it took him longer to finally say "momma" and mean me.

Yes, my daughter started around that age and is now eight months so don't be worried about it and just know your child is a little smarter than the rest. She says it with full intention and you know it because she reaches for me which feels amazing :)

Um, well I would say it's possible if you have heard him before :) But it is possible. Though mine decided on saying 'dada' instead of 'mama' at 4 months. But yes, very possible!

It's part of their language development. They start by saying consonant sounds like ba, da, ma... So yes, he's probably saying mama, but it may not be intentional. When he looks at you and says it when you walk into the room then you know it's on purpose.

My little girl says mama when she cries as well, she has done since the age of about four months. It's a good sign that he's talking early.

My daughter cried "mama" at 4 months, no one believes me until my hubby heard it one day when i was gone. She says Hi alot too...intention or not...who knows

Hi, I heard my son saything Mama at about this age too! No one beleived my, even when they heard it they all said that it wasn't "real", we also had a friend who's son said "hello" from a young age too. So they are not meant to but when enough parents hear it, I've got to doubt that they can't.
