hi there yes i can reassure you that you aren't the only one. i have them too but they are flesh toned so they appear a little lighter than my skin color. i have them in alot of places too like on my thighs and a bit on my breasts so they are not noticeable. so maybe some of the women you see have the same ones that i do, but don't worry there are alot of women who do have them.

hiya apparently it's hereditory if women get stretch marks both my grandmother and mother got covered and so did one of my aunties the other well she's just a freak of nature she had 6 and not one stretch mark!! i'm covered tummy, thighs and boobies so don't worry but then i see them as a trophy!! it shows that i carried my son and that i got something gorgeous at the end of it so be proud of them!! i am!! x x x

I have them all over my stomach! I was complaining to the doctor that none of the creams or coco butter are working. She bluntly told me that stretch marks are genetic. If your mom had them you will too. All I could think is oh joy.

ll the way to the belly button over here hun...I know, its not pretty, but a little boy once explained stretch marks in the cutest way to me, he said:
"Mommy said when I was little in her, I would color on her bely walls with my red crayon and it just takes a long time for it to wash off cuz its inside there. I like my drawings"
So cute.

Part of accepting strech marks is part of life. I still have the white marks on my thighs. They actually drive me up a wall as oppesed to my blue ones. My blue-purple strech marks have been reduced considerably (I think it has helped that I am drinking way more water, and exercising more often). My boys are 15 months apart, and I think the stress to the skin that soon did not help matters any.

I did some research and found somthing i didnt know about strech marks...Hormonal changes and genetics influence the skin's capacity to withstand stretching forces, as do diet and [possibly] exercise.

I never had a stretch mark on me before I fell pregnant! I reached 36 weeks with my first son and my whole stomach is covered in them! Past my belly button! I fell pregnant 7 weeks after I had my son and now at 37 weeks have them all down my legs and on my back! I am shattered that they are so visable because I cannot wear skirts or shorts and they were my favorite! I don't even walk around in shorts infront of my boyfriend I am so embarrassd so its defently not just u!! I understand how you feel!

Unfortunately its all genetics. If your mom had them, you're kinda doomed. You can try creams and lotions, but it is all about skin elasticity. Some women simply have it and others don't. I've got them still from my first all over my belly and breasts, and they're in a few new places with my second one... :) Most women who are brave enough to take pictures of their bellies uncovered are lucky ones without streatch marks! All my preggo pics are covered b/c I have too many marks! And even what you gain doesn't matter, I lost 17 with my first, and I've lost more weight than I've gained with this one!
I gotta disagree with genetics having any part in stretch marks.. my mother is a very tiny women and she had 5 kids and never once got a stretch mark i also have 3 sisters who have had more then 2 kids and never got them even my grandparents didn't get any, i'm the only one in my intire family to have got them.. and i'm not a big girl either (55 kilo's) so i would say no to the genetic thing sorry!!! (not being rude if it sounds like i am)

OMG I thought I was the only one!! I rubbed my entire body down with cocoa butter every night when I was pregnant and still I have them. I truly hate them, my friends have none of course. lol. They have faded a little but nothing has helped. If you find something that helps please let me know!!! But dont worry girl you are not alone!!

Ugh! The horrid stretch marks! It just your skin type and how much calcium and protien you have in your skin. I'm coverd in them from stomache to the backs of my knees. Some people think it has to do with how much weight you gain but I definatly don't agree. I gained 25 lbs total when I was pregnant and have tons of stretch marks and my sister gained 50 lbs and has none!

I have loads of stretch marks. Those mums who do get them usually tend to hide them, so thats why u only see mums who dont have them. I went from a size 10 to a 22 when pregnant and my stretch marks are huge, really wide. finally after 4 years and another child they are fading. They will fade eventually, but for the time being, dont worry. x

I had someone tell me that if you exfoliate three times a week with a sea salt scrub they would fade quicker. I tried that after my first was about 2yrsold. And I had them nearly gone then I got pregnant with my second and they are back! My second is 6 months and I haven't tried the exfoliating yet. hopefully once I lose the weight theyll fade quickly.

I have them too. I joke with my husband about it. He wants to get a tattoo with my daughters initials and I tell him I don't need to get a tattoo, i have them all over my tummy already. I found that it makes it easier just being proud of them. They show your nine months of hard work!

OMG YES, I HAVE THEM TOO. WHEN I GOT PREGNANT WITH MY FIRST SON, I GAINED 60 POUNDS, AND I HAD MINIMAL STRETCH MARKS HOWEVER, AND VERY LOW SO I COULD IF I WANTED STILL WEAR A BIKINI. THEN AFTER MY SECOND SON I GAINED LESS WEIGHT BUT MY STRETCHMARKS GREW, AND I GOT THEM ON MY THIGHS, AND CHEST! IT'S INSANE. I HATE TO SEE IF I HAD A THIRD!!

you are not the only one with stretch marks i have them and i know alot of moms out there who have them as well. i never really used any creams but mine had faded to the point where you cant notice them unless you are up close and personal. i got quite a few. and my daughter is now six and i had a son three years ago and when i got preggo the last time i didnt get anymore stretch marks. but yes many moms have stretch marks and its just a part of life.

It amazes me how some women get a few little ones and then others ( me included) get them all over! I found that bio- oil helps! It's a bit expensive but it is worth it! I have a 9.5 month old and i started using the bio-oil right away and they have already begn to fade.

Oh hunny, trust me I have them and LOADS of them EVERYWHERE!!! I was less then 98 pounds when I got pregnant, and by the time I had my daughter I was 180!!! I gained it everywhere (no clue why as I was very active and watched what I ate)...my daughter is 21.5 months and some of the stretch marks have faded, but not all of them...dont worry hun, your not the only one! They suck, but at the same time, you should be proud to wear the badge of motherhood! I know a couple moms who got no stretch marks and are ACTUALLY jealous of mine! (Weird I know, but many woman see them as a proud badge of motherhood!). I have stretch marks on my upper and lower legs, upper arms, stomach, breasts, hips and even a couple on my lower back (I carried weird with my daughter!).

I have stax of them and was really very upset about it!! Gone are the days of ever wearing a bikini - I tried all the creams and bio-oil and nothing helped. Whilst pregnant I managed to at least save my sides or so I thought. Somehow after Jordan was born - wallah - I got them on my sides (now how is that possible - i was LOOSING weight!). Oh well now I am covered. Whats worst is they not thin ones, my skin raised and they about 1 cm thick on my lower abdomen! So you not alone!

I got stretch marks during puberty on my boobs and bum but I didn’t get any during my pregnancies. I was so worried, I would smother on bio oil twice a day for the nine months. All my girlfriends have stretch marks somewhere, my sister is a tiny girl but she still got a few during puberty. Its just a part of life ..even my hubby has a few.

Its all genetic if your mother or grandma got them then thats why you did...creams usually dont make a diff but you can try bio oil or vitamin E to try to fade them..I had good genetics i guess, and they just fade after pregnancy, or it could be the cocobutter and oil i used not sure..just think of them as memory or girft from the amazing baby you carried and gave birth to:)

MAN, I have stretch marks on my stomach all the way down the my female parts, and then all across my hips and thighs! My baby is 7 months old and I am still trying to get my skin back to (or at least closer to) the size it was before adding all this extra amount from stretching! My husband finds the texture of them interesting, some days it just cracks me up, others it makes me so much more self-conscious.
