Have you tried good old fashioned wheat chex? I'm not sure of their exact ingredients, but they may work.

I just found this on a website: Puffed Cereals

Unfortunately most name brand cereals use either Rice flour or oats. and many have dyes in them. I have never heard of Weet Bix, or Vita Brits, what stores carry them?

Do you have weet bix where you live? Or vita brits? It's odd that he's allergic to rice and not wheat. They're just in the supermarket here. Apple and banana are good snacks for kids or grapes cut in half, cheese, natural yoghurt.

Go to this website and you can get all the ingredients for all the cereals and other snacks that they have. Obviously you can't do Froot Loops because of the dyes, or rice krispies, but I think you would be able to do pretty much any other cereal.
