It's possible. A friend of mine has a daughter in college, a 16 year old boy and then a 5 year old girl... She had her tubes tied after her son was born and then she found out she was pregnant again 11 years later. Everything was fine with her and they are both are perfectly fine!

Only in rare cases. it can happen however if the proceedure was done improperly or you are just extremely fertile.

theres been cases where women had a tubal ligation, and it reverse on its own. Majority of the time pregnancy ends up in miscarrying due to scar tissue in the tubes stopping your eggs from reach your uterus. Which can also be fatal, so make sure you get your facts straight before you go under the scalpel.

Quoting Susan:

when you have your tubes tied your eggs don't make it out. so no.

You really need to do your research. Your right, the egg doesn't make it to the uterus for proper implantation, but the egg can implant inside of the tubes. Google -Ectopic Pregnancy-

My mother had her tubes tied when my youngest sister was born. 14 years later she found out she was pregnant but of course it ended up being a tubel. 2 years later it happened again but of course another tubel and that one almost killed her. So yeah it is possible.

happened to my step mom. thats why you get the ends burned as well. she wasnt supposed to have her third kid but he came along anyway and she ended up wiht some severe problems in cyron's pregnancy.

* forgot to add her was interuterine. not in her tubes. its possible but highly unlikely. that why they singe the end of the tubes now instead of just tying them...

I am 27 weeks pregnant with my first and just had a conversation with my doctor about this last week as I am considering different birth control methods.
My Doc says there is about a 30% chance of conception with having your tubes tied. Although the pregnancy would be tubular and an abortion would be needed..very scary!
I am considering getting Mirena as I have been told it is by far one of the best birth controls on the market. It is also very likely your period will stop all together. *Bonus!

I have Mirena and I LOVE IT!

It is possible but you need to see a doctor right away if you are to find out whether it is tubal or not.

Not usually, but it is possible. My mom had the procedure done, and they fused back together on their own, so she had to go back and have it done again...
