hi im a hairdresser and yes you can its a myth that you cant..........there is just a risk that the colour may take differently than other times because of different chemicals in your body x

I played it safe and didn't do anything to my hair.... just let it naturally get really long, which I love. I know it is not recommended during pregnancy, but not to be able to do it at all, I think that is up to you and your dr.

I did, but beware, it doesn't turn the same color as it does when you aren't pregnant! My colorist said to avoid bleach and that your hair tends to go towards red when your pregnant!

My OB/GYN has always said, yes, but I'd check with yours. The only thing to really worry about is the turn out. Hormones change during pregnency and that can cause a different turn out than usual. Just make sure your hairdresser is aware and keeps a close eye on your color, especially if you're going lighter. If you're using a box, I'd do a test strip like it recommends to see how it reacts. However, I suggest going to a professional when pregnant.

I was told by my OB/GYN that I could use Color Pulse throughout my pregnancy because it wasn't permanent. But I would talk to my doctor before I did any dying.

I work for an OB doctor and he has said that it is perfectly okay to dye your hair while pregnant. Just if you are doing it at home, I suggest turning on a fan for ventilation.

I would suggest not to, I was told by my hairdresser, several dr's and midwifes that the chemicals are bad for the baby and to avoid coloring your hair or perming it. Even in good ventilation some seaps into your skin.
Also, from Mayo Clinic website:
If you decide to dye your hair during pregnancy, consider these precautions from the Food and Drug Administration:
Wear gloves when applying hair dye.
Apply hair dye as quickly as possible.
Rinse your scalp thoroughly after using hair dye.

while i was pregnant i stayed away from all chemicals. they say it's not good to put chemicals in your pores like that but doesn't mean they are always 100 % accurate. i just kept extensions in my hair the entire pregnancy just to avoid statistics. but you free to do what you want just check wit your ob first don't want to take any risks. do what you have to to keep looking good girl!lol

Yes! Depending how far along you are...If you are over 4 months go ahead just make sure you do it with lots of air ventilation! For example when I was preg. I colored my hair after I was done in the bathroom with the window open I went outside. lol :) Hope this helps.
