I would like to discuss a topic that really bothers me, I feel that alot of Moms/or dad put there babies/children in car seats only because it is required by the law and not because it is the safe thing to do. I have many friends/acquaintances on facebook and i have seen many photos of children in there car seat and notice that many of them are not properly bucked in them: example(twisted straps, very loose straps, missing pieces of there car seats, not all buckle snap and even car seats that aren't even buckled into the car. This REALLY bothers me, do these parents not even care what might happen to their child if they are involved in a wreck? I feel like many parents just really don't understand the important of good car seat safety. 2 years ago when my daughter was only 3 months old I was crossing an intersection and was hit dead on by a driver who ran a red light, the car hit right into the back door where my daughter car seat was strapped in. The car flipped 3 times before coming to a stop. I was severely injured and spent a month in the hospital, my daughter didn't even have a scratch on here and I believe it was because she was properly strapped into her car seat and it was properly strapped into the car. Does anyone else agree with me on this subject and what are your opinions on this?
