Childproofing woes

Anyone in SA had to childproof an unusually large set of stairs? The modular systems from Chellino etc are 20cm too short even with all the extensions in!

I have 8 month old twins and it is only a matter of time before they head in opposite directions and one goes head first down my stairs while I'm chasing down the other.

Any advice welcome, please!

Do you have a Toys R Us near by? They have a couple different models for extremely large stairs! One is called Summer Infant Sure & Secure 6' Metal Expansion Gate. Go to the toys r us website and check it out. If even that is to small you could make your own which we had to do or block off the rooms that lead to the stairs which is a pain but better safe then sorry! Good Luck

Is there a hallway or a room that you can block off instead?

When my son was learning to crawl I put a baby gate up in the entryway of the stair case.
