Hi every one. I am currently breastfeeding my 4 month old baby but I have a horrible cold is cold medicine safe to rake and still breastfeed? I was thinking if taking tylenol cold since the dictor always say it's safe to take even if you are pregnant I was thinking maybe it's safe even if I am breastfeeding???

A pharmacist or lactation consultant would probably be the best ones to ask. Here's a list of approved meds to take while breastfeeding:

Not sure if the one you want to take is on there. Always check with a doctor/lactation consultant/pharmacist first.

I'm pretty sure it would be fine. If you still aren't sure though call the doctor, yours or hers and they will be able to tell you for sure.

the other day, I had a cold and asked the pharmasist if it was safe to take tylenol cold (cause that's the only thing that seems to work for me) she said it was fine to take the daytime one only. it's not harmful to take the night time but it could affect your milk production. So I say it's fine! Hope you feel better!
