I have had two children before and have had such a difficult time breast feeding to the point I would just dry up. I wasn't making enough and had to go back and forth between bf and formula and that was just so painful for my babies with the gas and all. So I just, after a month or two of trying, went completely to formula. I am in my second trimester with the third and am not looking forward to all that all over again. I tried everything!!!! tea, pumping often, etc.

I have a 3 month old and for the first 2 weeks he didn't eat a lot. He latched on good he just wasnt getting enough and i felt horrible.. but his pediatrician said to just keep him latched on for 15 extra minutes if i can. because then it will let my body know that i need to supply a little more for him. i started doing that and it worked wonders. he eats wonderful now. That may not work for you, but if you decide to bf again then i would try that! :)

My first was not at all interested in breastfeeding, and I couldn't keep up with my second. I'd breast feed her and she'd still be hungry so I'd supplement with formula, but eventually switched to just formula because I couldn't keep up. You just need to do what works for you. If breastfeeding doesn't work, then it doesn' work. And formulas today are almost as good as breast milk. Moms should not be ashamed to give their babies formula.

Have you thought of just going straight to formula? I was not able to produce enough milk when i had my little girl and I tried everything aswell, nothing worked. Sure breast milk is best but a lot of women actually can't produce enough no matter what. Only one women in my entire family has ever been able to breastfeed.
