Condom Lost Inside

Hello, I'm new hear. I have a five year old girl and a two year old son, anyway
Last night my husbands condom came off inside me after he had unloaded, we didn't realise inside me was an option, we couldn't find it in the bed or on the floor and so we just went to sleep. This morning I was horrified when I realised it was inside me, I sat on the toilet for awhile until it came down, when I pulled it out it seems empty! Ewwww I know, anyway yesterday on the 8th was my last day of ovulation, what are the chances that if the sperm holding condom was inside me all night and I'm fertile of me being pregnant? Is it as though we didn't use one in the first place? Or less chance then nothing? What's the likelihood?

Thanks Ladies For All The Help! I Appreciate All Of It. For The Ladies Saying Get The Morning After Pill. First Of All Its To Late. Second I Wouldnt Do That. I Dont Believe In That. Its Just Not For Me. If We Are Pregnant I Am Fine With That. If Were Not Thats Great Too. Most Of All I Wanted To Make Sure That I Wasnt The Only One This Happened To And What Your Out Come Was. I dont want to scare you but i would defo go and get the morning after pill, bc makes me go a bit crazy so i dont take it and we have always used comdoms and i got pregnant with my daughter just by my boyfriend deing on top of me naked and having a kiss and cuddle to get in the mood. We didnt even have penetrative sex. Wen i went for my six week check up after my daughter was born i was telling my doc about it and she told me not even to bath in the same water as my husband. Ha! I wont let him anywhere near me wen his naked now unless he has a condom on. If ur not ready for another baby yet then id say its better to be safe than sorry.

to the girl with mirena, i went for m 6 week checkup and all was well with it, then 2 weeks later it fell out. i went to the dr to arrange to re-fit it, and had to have all my swabs and tests again, i was already pregnant! the pregnancy seems to have forced the coil out, so completley failed for me! my mum had the copper coil and got pregnant with my brother and had to have it removed, so again epic fail LOL!



hope you're luckier!



my partner can feel condoms slipping so if anything happens he knows before it's too late.

Hey, first off congratulations on your first baby. Breastfeeding is not birth control although many people will state that it can act as a defense against pregnancy it is not a 100% affective or even remotley close to that number, protection definitly is your more reliable source. Second after a baby for at least the first 6 months you are at a higher chance of becoming pregnant because your body is at peek fertility. So there may be a chance you could be pregnant. I don't know, but I use that new mirena thing because bc pills mess up my cycle too. I have had it for a year now and am getting it removed so that we can try for another baby. You can keep it in for up to five years before needing it replaced. My boys are 15 months a part you'll be fine.

You dont ovulate at all for at least 50 days after you have your baby -- after that - its a matter of when with your body. Dont' quote me on that either, its what i have learned about the fertility -- so check it out for yourself first before you choose to go by this 'theory' --- later, good luck, and keep us posted ( a few weeks and you will know for sure!)

fyi my mom was breastfeeding with my older sister and she was told about the o your breastfeeding you cant get pregnant..um hello i am here..so that is not 100 % true nothing is 100 % except for abstinence.good luck with whatever you have decided.its your life your family and you can only make the decision that is best for you.

Wow Thanks Ladies! You All Are Awesome! I Was On Day 12 Of My Cycle. I Dont Know If I Was Oing Or Not. I Am Also Against The Morning After Pill. I Would Not Do That. I Just Wondered. If I Am Pregnant We Will Be Happy. If Not Thats Fine Too. We Want 2 Children Total And It Doesnt Matter When We Have Them But We Were Thinking About Trying Around The End Of This Year Or So. yes it has happened to me before. i didnt get pregnant. but it was so long ago that i cant remember where i was in my cycle. but as to how you handle the situation is your choice. i wouldnt recommend the pill. since i see it as an abortion and am against that. but if you do have another one i know what that is like. twice i had them only 14 months apart. 10,7,5(6 in sept),3,2(just turned 2),and 10 months.

veronica i agree with you on this 1 but the monring after pill does not harm your baby if you are already pregnant my auntie took it and she was already pregnant and her baby was born healthy and still is xxxx

that's how i got pregnant with my 3rd. good luck with that hon., it could go either way, just don't stress about it. all you can do is wait and see. unless you really don't want another one, then you could always get the morning after pill, just to make sure?

My children are all close in age, and i breasfed them too -- they are 6, 5, 3 (4 in nov), 2 and 9 mo. old -- i took each pregnancy as they came, and i love every single one of them!

I wouldn't count on breastfeeding as birth control. People get pregnant while breastfeeding all the time! You have three options: 1.) You might get lucky and not be pregnant. 2.) Morning after pill 3.) You get pregnant. There are many other forms of birth control out there besides pills that are more reliable than condoms. Talk to you doctor about your options.

I know it's harder to get pregnant bf, but I am sure its not impossible either. I totally disagree about taking the morning after pill. That pill is not meant for convience, if your pregnant it was meant to be. I do kind of find your story funny, what are the chances of that happening....lol. I was pregnant when my first was 9 months, so if your pregnant, know that there are many other women with children that close. Just wait it out, I would say your chances of being pregnant are low, b/c your bf , and b/c you might not have ovulated yet. Best of luck

Breastfeeding does act like a birth control but im not sure how well it works because i never breastfed. I got pregnant 4 months after i had Donavin and ended up having a miscarriage because my body couldnt handle it. But i got pregnant again a couple months after that and ended up with a healthy baby boy. They are less then a year and a half apart and it is hard sometimes but i love them so much.

I think it means breastfeeding...I don't agree with the morning after pill either but to each his own. I got pregnant with my 2nd child when my first was about 8 1/2 months old and was on birth control. I had an 18month old and a newborn but it has all worked out fine. I wouldn't have it any other way. Reguardless of if you wind up pregnant or not, you will adjust and be fine! Good luck to you!

im not saying you were wrong either -- just adding other ideas -- and i on the otherhand think that the pill is abortion --- but i feel that way because of my faith -- if you dont feel that way, that is your feeling, and i respect that - i really dont want to fight about this, that is a touchy subject -- thank you for your input with me - and you are right -- maybe she doesnt want another one right now. thanks for that idea -- since she didnt mention whether she wanted one or not - just whether or not we thought she could be pg ------ Dear Jenn - its going to be a slight waiting game -- and then its a matter of get the test -- you wont know for sure til then -- and its hard to say for certain whether you were ovulating that day or not -- you could have been, you might not have started yet, or you had it right before that incident -- so- either wait it out, see if you are or not -- or if you believe in the pill then you have that choice too --- but i really dont think anyone of us can tell you whether you are pg or not -- take care, and i wish you well either way.

I understand this Chloe -- this is why people go on birth control, use condoms, etc. But the realization is there is still a % chance of getting pg. -- i had friends who were on the depo and pill and still got pregnant -- they didnt take the morning after pill - they had their baby. In my personal OPINION if we are going to be grown up to make sex choices and family planning, we are grown up to take responsibility too - i PERSONALLY do not agree with the morning after pill -- and i wont go into that one!! (a whole nother topic) I said I wouldnt take the pill -- and i personallly dont think having another baby is the end of the world -- if she doesnt care for what i post, that is her opinion too. Im only trying to provide an alternative thought here, considering everyone was so quick to killing off the fertilized eggs right away....

I wouldnt do the morning after pill - if you are pregnant - is that really such a bad thing?? i cannot bellieve what i am hearing -- things happen honey, and if you are meant to have another baby it will happen - if not, you wont. This sounds to be a silly incident to laugh about really with your partner -- and accept the outcome whichever its going to be.

its happend twice to me before and 1 nite we ,had 2 much 2 drink so my partner never told me it had come off so it was left in me all nite and i never got pregnant but it might depend on where u are in your cycle,i think u should get the m.a.p or see your dr

It's happened to me before and we didn't get pregnant that time. My husband suggested the morning after and I didn't bother with it, I personally don't believe in it. But needless to say we didn't get pregnant.

If it's been within 72 hours of intercourse and you really don't want to get pregnant I would suggest the morning after pill. If you have a "normal" 28 day cycle and you've been having a period there is a chance you could get pregnant. However, breastfeeding does have a sort of "birth control" property to it...but it's never anything I would depend on. Honestly if you don't want to get pregnant and it's been less than 72 hours I'd get the pill. Good luck!
