I was just wondering what convertible car seat everyone likes best? I know Britax is great, but we really can't afford one of those at this point in time. That being said, what other seats do you like that are not outrageously expensive?

Thanks for all the input! After reading reviews and just going with what I wanted, I bought a Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite convertible one. I went ahead and bought it because I found it online for $139.99 with free shipping. My little girl hasn't outgrown her carrier yet, but will in a few months.

I have yet to buy my son a convertible car seat, but I'm pretty sure I want to buy the Graco My Ride 65 Car Seat. Its priced at $149.99. After reading reviews I decided to go with that one instead of the Graco Comfort Sport which is 89.99. Both seem like good seats though.

Kayden has Safety First. Its nice and not as expensive as some of the others. It has worked great for her and a jogging stroller came with it for an extra 100. So that was good for me.

We have the Graco MyRide 65. It goes to 42 pounds rear-facing and 65 pounds forward facing. We bought it because it stayed rear-facing for so long. Also, the dual cup holders are awesome, and it seems really comfortable. It also has really good reviews for side-impact crashes. We've had it for about a year, and have loved it. We have no complaints at all, except that it's large. I have a Toyota Camry, and it fits behind the driver's seat, but it's kind of wide. It wasn't too terribly expensive.
