Chances are YES and NO. Many females have a normal period during pregnancy, so the best way is to do a pregnancy test or go to the Dr., thats the only way you will know 100%. The best thing is to use some sort of protection or go on contraception esp for a young female like you. 18yrs is a bit too young to have kids, as you are just about trying to discover yourself who you really are your dislikes and likes. So rather be safe than sorry as for raising kids aint No joke, and takes alot out of one and very very expensive to maintain. SO be careful. Take the tests and let us know how it goes. Chances are you're not preggers. Although the only way to know for sure is to take a test. But it'll definitely be less stressful for you if u use some sort of protection next time. Let us know how the test turns out.

If you get your cycle every 28 days (normal), you ovulate around day 14 of that cycle. Day one of your cycle is the first day of menses. If you had unprotected sex two weeks ago you could have gotten pregnant, or two weeks from now you will be ovulating again. If you are having a period, chances are you not pregnant. Dark blood means old blood. Bright red is new blood. Color is not an indication of pregnancy. We get periods to shed excess cells in the uterus. (I am a labor and delivery nurse) Keeping a calendar marking your period and ovulation expectancy (days 13-15 of cycle) especially will be helpful. Hope this helps.

You are most fertile right before and after your period. It is possible for you to be pregnant, but I would definitely see a doctor to find out. I thought I had my period before my first pregnancy, but it was what they call rooting, where the fetus attaches to the wall of the uterus causing bleeding, it was light bleeding that only lasted three days, so I didn't think anything of it untill I missed my next period. Go see your doctor.

When I was taught about some family planning methods, your fertile stages where you are supposed to refrain from intercourse (if you are preventing pregnancy), are during your ovulation and during your period. So yes I am sure it is possible...just wait a few weeks and take a test. Just act like you are pregnant (no drinking and what not) until you find out for sure. Just be warned that false negatives are common (it might be to early to tell) but usually a positive is a positive.

As far as other signs, my husband said when we got pregnant with our third, that he knew I was pregnant because for some reason I snort when I laugh during every pregnancy! Lol. But since that is not a real sign, I would watch out for nausea and food adversons (I always had more of those than cravings). That's usually my first sign.

Dont worry to much about the unplanned part. Mine have not been planned but they are so worth it. I would not change having my kids young (I was 20 with my first). If you don't want babies right now, there are lots of women who can't have babies and would love to raise yours. And yes protection is important if you don't want babies right now. I am married and we still use condoms all the time to prevent pregnancy.

Yes you can get pregnant right before your period. It happened to my mother, however it really depends on when you ovulate. Sperm can last up to a week inside you, which is why there is always the 2 weeks on either side of the "due date" because no one can really say when you have ovulated. It's different for a lot of women. Only way to know for sure is to take a test. If you are not pregnant but your period is still changing in colour and amount, then see your doctor to be sure nothing else is wrong.

Chances are no, but the only way to know for sure it to take a test. Ovulation occurs 14 days before your period and the egg is only good for 3-5 days. With this being said I have had times where I started my period on time, then 14 days later started again. So I would have ovulated again at the same time I was starting the first time. Had I had sex just before I started the first time I could have gotten pregnant. ( In 17 years of having periods this has happened about 3 times so it is not common.) Symptoms of pregnancy won't normally start to show for another 2-4 weeks so go get a test.

If you have sex it's possible to get pregnant...even if you use protection, nothing it 100% sure to prevent pregnancy. Take a pregnancy test. They have them at the dollar store if you're tight on cash.

The only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test. Until then, I wouldn't worry about it. Implantation bleeding isn't an entirely uncommon phenomenon, but given the timeline you have given us, you most likely aren't implanting yet, regardless. Don't stress--take a test. You will need to wait a week or so to make sure that it is accurate.

Its just making me think cuz I been playing around on tootle "how I found this website" and been reading story's but lil my period is already getting lighter, like its stooping and started it yesterday morning but I was reading bout implantation bleeding so all this is starting to worry me now. Spotting is normal yes. Some women do say they have bleeding throughout their pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, so it is possible.

The most popular times to get pregnant is around the time you ovulate, but that doesn't mean you won't any other other times. You can get pregnant at any time in your cycle. I have heard women who got pregnant even while on their period. I would wait a week and then take a test and use protection every time if you don't want to become pregnant.

Unless you are trying to get pregnant, it is best to have protected sex every time--either a barrier method or hormonal birth control, if you are able to use it and comfortable with it. There is no such thing as a safe time of the month for unprotected sex, although you can determine "safer" times using natural family planning methods like mucus and temperature readings.
