Hello,

I have a couple of questions.

My first question is about losing my baby weight. I have been walking and using my wii fit alot and I have not lost very much weight. I am breastfeeding so i think that is helping. I only need to look about 10 pounds before I am back to my original weight. I just need to lose the weight on the front and sides of my tummy.

Second question is about stretchmarks. How the heck do I get rid of them. I have been using bio oil and making sure they aren't dry. I have been letting the sunight get at them but its not working as fast as i would like it to.

Third question. My baby girl is 6 1/2 months old and I would like tips on how to help her learn how to crawl. I try to give her lots of tummy time but was curious if there are other techniques as to how I can help her learn the position of the crawling than actually starting to crawl.

Last question. I would like to be a stay at home mom after my maternity leave runs out, but i would also like to still be making money. I would like to have a job that i could from at home. I heard that you can do things on the internet and make money while taking care of your baby at home. I would like to know what kind of jobs that I would be able to do.

Any suggestions would be so helpful.

So my daughter Hayden, does not like it on her tummy at all. I try to bend her knees and all she wants to do is straighten them and stand up. I dont know what to do

with the stretch mark issue, my sister's doctor told her to take a vitiman e capsule and break it open and rub the liquid on the marks and eventually they would fade out and go away. she said that it also worked for scars.

Try putting his knees under him and rock him a little it gives him the urge to move an arm and that he can move on all fours. when he is on all fours also move one of his arms out and back in and that will let him know he can move his arms aswell.

Hi Danielle
I had the same problem with the baby weight. I was so frustrated with myself because I also only had about 10 pounds to lose. I use my wii fit daily and I eat about 5 small meals a day. I think the small 5 meals verses the 3 bigger meals have helped out a lot. When I snack during the day, I usually snack on fruit. Also, sit-ups could work too. About work, Have you or would you be interested in working at a daycare/preschool? That way, you could go to work and still be with your child. Some centers will offer you free childcare for your child and others would require that you still pay half tuition (if you work there). Good luck to you!

just about the job. I do family day care from home which works out really well. Earn about $700 a week. Has lots of benefits like other kids interacting with your child, lots of fun playgroups and social gatherings and you don't need to send your kids to preschool as they do all the same things at your house. It is actually easier looking after four or five kids that all play together than one that constantly wants your undivided attention!!

as far as the baby weight thing some of that may be extra skin that just needs to get tight, so stomach exercise will help i have 3 kids 6 1/2, 3 and 1 and working out ur stomach is the best thing u can do...and u are right the breastfeeding will help, crawling will happen soon, just keep up with the tummy time, try putting her fav toy in sight but far enough away that she has to go after it....hope it helps

Quoting Ashley:

Hey danielle.....about the job you could think about being a medical transcriptionist....they make good money but you would have to take some classes u can usually look at your hospitals to see if they offer a course its usually like $1200 for a couple saturdays is what it is around here....or u can do it through your local college but it will take longer.....there are jobs on the internet but you have to be really careful with what jobs you take bc a lot of times they will take your money and its hard to tell which ones are real or fake...they will even put the money into your bank account and then when you go to take it the next day its gone and so is your money....so just becareful....about the crawling i helped my 3yr old daughter to crawl at 5 months...by tucking her legs up under her when she was on her tummy to giver he the motion instead of her just laying on her belly....if she is strong enough to hold herself up on her arms i would push her legs up under her...she will be crawling in no time.... hope this helps :) GOOD LUCK :)

Ashley...My son is 4 months and he is very strong on his arms on tummy time, do you think if I try to put his knees up he will crawl?

Question 1: I pretty much watched my eating habits and got reid of all junk that i was eating before. I walked a lot, pretty much everywhere that i need to go I walk and I include my daughter in my workouts at home which was helpful.

Question 3: i knwo that you want your daughter to crawl but not all children do crawl. my daughter never crawled once until after she was a year and a half old. She was more interested to learn to walk and although I wanted her to crawl, my doctor told me not to force her and that not all children do crawl.

Hopefully these are helpful to you.

I didn't start to lose weight till my daughter hit 12 months and I started to lose about 4 to 8 lbs a month since then... as for crawling our PT had us put her on her hands and knees rock her and even move her arms and legs to show her what to do.

for the stretch marks i would use silicone gel Dermatix C Silicone Gel.

My son had surgery on his thumb and it got rid of his scar so i thought i would use it on my stretch marks and it got rid of them as well.

I can help with # 1:

I agree with Tamika, although the last 10 pounds around that belly are the hardest, Pilates REALLY works, I have a DVD I can just pop in at home and work on those abs.

Here is a good site to use for "mini" exercise sessions, with your baby right there with you or while she's taking a nap:

www.exercisetv.tv

Click on the videos, and "abs" - It's not hard to make time for 5 minutes a day or so!

Pilaties, teo-bo, and belly danceing really work for me. The last 10 pounds are always the hardest to get rid of. If your looking for a quick fix, the cabbage soup diet really works. A couple summers ago one of my friends was getting married and I was not in the wedding origanally, but two weeks before the wedding onof the bridesmaids broke her leg. I had to loose 20 poung to fit the dress. The diet is only a week, it takes a hell of alot of will power, but it works andthe weight honsetly does not come back.

For streach marks it is mostly in your genes, but pure vitamin E capsules work wonders on all types of scars. My sister got a third degree burn on her leg and the scar was 100% gone in a year.

For crawling, i laid my son on his tummy and put is toys out of reach.

Working at home, i suggest medical billings and transcription. I am currently getting my cerrtification in medical billings at home though Allied Medical School. It is a natioonal acredited distance learning school. Just type Allied Medical School in you search engin and click on the link. My course costed $2300, and came with every thing I needed for my course including a demo of the software used in the industry, I even got a dell laptop with my coures materals to keep.

maybe if you type it into a search engine it will come up with a nearby one? its basically not eating carbs and meat on the same day, pick one or the other, plus unlimited fruit and veg. x

I don't think we have that type of place in Drayton Valley. Yes, my mom has stretch marks bad. The bio oil is fading them but they are still very noticeable. That is also a very good crawling tip!

Thanks!

Thanks for the working at home tip. I have been looking at the working at home ones on the internet but I do realize that you do have to be very careful. It sucks when you can't trust people. Thanks for the great tip on crawling!

hi danielle!

1st question..i joined slimming world when harry was 3 months old, and so far i have lost nearly 3 and a half stone, its so easy to do and there are usually loads in your area. highly recommend!

2nd question...i have a million stretch marks, and my ummy is very crinkly, i used bio oil all through pregnancy but that didnt work. i heard that stretch marks are hereditery from your mum? and if you get them you get them. sunlight is prob the best thing for them.

3rd question...i tried puttin harry on his bum and puttin his toys just out of reach so they know they have to move to get them, this didnt work straight away (he learnt to practically bend in half to raech them!) but eventually he crawled. we put him in the middle of the floor and just ignored him, he was cryin becos he wanted to be picked up but we just carried on ignoring him and after 10 mins he crawled to the sofa where we were!

last question...i have no idea! maybe delivering things (leaflets) door to door?

hope i helped!!

I can help with a couple questions.

About the baby weight have you tried situps or reverse situps? they work great.

I didn't get stretch marks but i've heard that vitamin K works for them.

About the crawling you could try putting her on her hands and knees and rocking her back and forth. Thats one of the things my sons physiotherapist suggested i do with my son. It worked but it takes a little while for them to catch on.

I cant help you with the making money at home part. Sorry

Hope I at least helped a little.
