I had depression even before I got pregnant I have a depression called Bi-polar nr.2 it was bad Now Im 14weeks and off all my meds and its really hard I know. just stay positive i know it seems hard at times but it gets better. You dont really have to tell people but you can tell your close friends that you have depression I know it feel terrible but once you have told them its going to easier. I recomend writing your feelings down in a book its really helping me,and go see a pshycologist which you feel comfy with and cry and talk your heart out! All the best!

thanks heaps for all the support. it's nice to know that i'm not the only person going through this. i have a bit of trouble telling people about it as i'm afraid they're going to judge me or not want to be my friend anymore. thanks heaps again for ur support!

i have delt with it since i was 15, i also found out i was bipolar im now going to be 21 in august. dont feel bad for taking anti depressants. they will help you ALOT i have been on them and other meds for awhile. when i dont take my medication i can tell there is something seriously wrong my best advice is once you start taking it dont stop because you think your better, because the deppression only gets worse when the meds are out of your system. i have never really gotten close to people because i was always afraid of what people would say about my medical issues but if you need to talk im here.

I haven't been diagnosed but I feel myself at times having some symptoms and just go off to myself and then come back and talk about it with my best friend. I'm here to listen anytime you need someone to chat with.

I was diagnosed with clinical depression when I was 13 years old.
Since then I have been on an anti depressant (fluoxatine) and it has helped me so much, not just the depression but anxiety and panic attacks aswell.
I had my baby girl when I was 18 and im now 19. Im noticing a few symptoms of depression return because of post natal depression. I have been back to my doctor and talked about my dosage of anti depressants just to give me that little bit of extra help.
Talking about it is the best thing I have ever done to help me. If I didnt I wouldnt have got any better! Support is the best thing

i was first hit with depression also at 18, mainly due to an abusive relationship. i still take tablets for it, a couple of different ones through out the years, until finding the right one for me.
are you from the UK or the USA? here in the UK there groups for mums with depression, no matter when they first had it. try a few websites, Living life to the full is a brill website. try finding groups with depression? its easier to talk online if you have trouble talking face to face. my email is hellokitty21@hotmail.co.uk, and im always here if you wanna talk, seeing as we have the same thing :) try to egt out at least once a day, even to the local shops, or to a park, or go for a walk with the baby with a pram. its all the little things that count :) xx
