My son gets really bad diaper rash when he is teething. Does anyone have anything they used that works really well? It usually gets so bad that there are open/bleeding sores. I feel so bad. I usually call the Dr. but they just keep sending the same prescription to the pharmacy. HELP!!

There is a cream that is over the counter (but you have to ask for it behind the pharmacy counter). It is called Resinol. When my friends baby was about 6 weeks old she had such a bad diaper rash that it was bleeding and when she called they recommended this. We rushed over and got it and the rash was almost gone by the next diaper change. IT IS AMAZING! It doesn't say diaper cream, but it works just like it. It doesn't take much and the best way to get it off your fingers is with a baby wipe NOT WATER..ha! It is good for burns, scrapes, etc. I ALWAYS give this as a baby shower gift so all my other mom friends know about it....Good luck!

Try Desitin orignal it has like 40% zinc oxide to help heal faster...( the higher zinc oxide the better!) Apply with every diaper change and if its just a wet diaper dont wipe off the cream it will take the new skin cells with it, just add a little more cream.... Hopefully this advice will help some!

I have a homemade recipe that works awesome. My oldest used to get diaper rash's like that and this always soothed it and would usually make it go away in just a day or two. Its One part corn starch, One part Desitine and Two parts Vaseline. Just mix it all together in a bowl (I use a tiny tupperware bowl so I can just take the lid on and off and store securely) really well till its nice and creamy and apply at every diaper change. Hopefully your little guy wont be crying too much longer.

CORN STARCH... I swear by it.. It is some thing my Grandma told me when i has my son a little over 2 years ago.. I am still using it for my daughter who is 8 months old.. It is painless and dries it right up that and it is natural so it won't harm your baby any way.. It only take a couple hours for my daughter to clear up if even that long.. With my son it took very little time to clear up.. I hope this is helpful
