I've had contractions already and I'm only 13 weeks. I also just recently felt movement. When you are more aware of the baby and know what things feel like you end up feeling them sooner.

Hard to tell. In my second pregnancy, I knew what everything was and what everything felt like. For example, I felt my second baby's kicks earlier, but was it because I knew the difference between kicks, BH's or an on-comming fart, or because I actually felt them earlier?

I'm 18 weeks w/ my 5th (actually 4th baby) and I have experienced things earlier after having the 1st. In fact i felt my 3rd's flutters at 11 weeks. Kicks by 12/13 weeks. But she was positioned way in the front so i think that's why. If they get painful for several minutes at a time and are frequent i'd say something to your doctor. if they are painless/uncomfortable, then it's normal. Keep in mind you may be feeling some stretching pains for a few seconds once in a while. Your baby is growing more rapidly this trimester.

I've had 2 babies and my BHC's started at around 12 weeks both pregnancies. My docs all said it's fine. Of course, real contractions are not okay, but BH are fine. They're just uncomfortable.

I am at the end of my 3rd pregnancy (technically 5th pregnancy...3rd baby I should say) (baby will be born exactly 4 weeks from today via c-section) and I have had braxton hicks since at least 18 weeks. I was told it's completely normal as long as I'm not actually having pain and such with them. I've also been told that with subsequent pregnancies, you are likely to notice things earlier because you are already familiar with what happens and so you are more aware of what is going on. Good luck to you!
