I got loads with my child who is now two, they were everywhere (boobs, thighs, stomach and hips) I have always had very low confidence with them and have used all creams etc. They have faded quite a bit and instead of being massive and purple they are white. I think you honestly have to just accept them and get on with your life. I hate the way celebs are always shown with flat stomachs and no stretch marks, in the real world this is not the case!! Learnt to love your body and remember what its had to go through!!! After time they do fade, but in the meantime, a tan does cover them quite well and you can buy special make-up if its bothering you that much!
But the main thing id say about it is dont feel like its ruined your body and look at the possitive side to how your body has changed!! Most women do get them and its just one of those things. Be proud of yourselves for giving life! The most amazing thing you can do!! Hope ive helped xxx

I got a lot of stretch marks on my stomach I hate them! I use Bio Oil and I go tanning everyday. The tanning has helped a lot. My stretch marks have completely faded and I can hardly even see them them anymore. I still feel subconscious about them so have decided that when I am done having children, for my own personal choice, I am going to get a tummy tuck.

While I was pregnant I used Palmers Cocoa Butter, it worked wonders, it helped when my belly got itchy. I did not get stretch mark on my belly until two weeks before my twin daughters were born, After they were born, I started to use Bio Oil and now I have no stretch marks which is wonderful and now I can wear a bathing suit and not be so cautious about my body.

i have a lot of stretch marks...some i got even before i had a baby..it got worse when i had my eldest and even more when i had the 2nd. I've tried almost every cream there is and they don't work. I've asked doctors too and said they'll never go away. It lightens but not completely gone. even lasers don't get rid of them. Some doctors say working out and getting the tummy firm helps. I guess we just have to live with it.

I have them!!! trust me.... none untill the end of my preg though. They are here to stay! I have tried every oil, cream, lotion and tanning. They do fade but, never disappear! Think of them as a battle scar, or like a tat. A beautiful reminder of your beautiful baby! Either get a tummy tuck, or learn to love them!!!! Be proud of them!!! Be proud of yourself!!!

I have plenty of stretchmarks. Unfortunately, they don't go away but they do fade. LOL at what Kate Capehart said b/c so are mine. I wouldn't be ashamed of them though as ost of the women that have had babies have them. I like to see them as souvenirs from having my beautiful girl =)

i used palmers cocoa butter, from start of my pregnancy and for 2weeks afterward i also used baby oil everytime i got out of the bath or shower. I was luck and din't get any stretch marks and my belly did go pritty huge, my baby was 8lbs 1 1/2 oz. and i think the cocoa butter was the reason why i dint get any. xx

I got them with my first and more when I had my second child. I hear it has to do with your mother. If she got them you are going to and vice versa. Maybe not always true. The only way to get rid of those stretch marks is a tummy tuck. Not for me but depending on you that's the only way. My personal opinion is using lotion and creams should have started when you found out not after. So if you have already had the baby then it's not gonna work. Just my personal opinion on what's what.

I am now 8 months pregnant and don't have any stretch marks, have been mixing rosehip oil with my regular moisturising nivea cream. I have been recommended though to put the pure oil on the stretch marks if you have them in circular movements and that it really helps them go away, i recommended it to my sis who has had twins 4 months ago and it is working as her have got so so much better!!! You can get the rosehip oil in a health shop!!!
Good luck and i hope i get either none or very few!!!
Hope it of some help!!

Pretty much everyone gets stretch marks while they're pregnant. I got stretch marks when I was pregnant with my son, and then when I was pregnant with my daughter the same stretch marks I already had just got a lil deeper. I honestly wouldn't trade it for anything. To me they are my Mommy tats for carrying my babies around.

Yep I've got stretch marks. I was really lucky and didn't have may until I was about 35 weeks pregnant. My son engaged early and as I carried him low for just over 4 weeks lots of stretch marks appeared under my bump. I'm sorry to say that haven't gone but have faded to silver.

Not knocking any of these suggestions but I got killer strech marks when I was pregnant. While pregnant I tried all kinds of products from nivea and palmers and all kinds of oils, down to raw shea and cocoa butter. Nothing stopped them. Afterward i tried more creams and eventually gave up. They faded a little on there own but are still there and will always be. I say all of this to say, try the recommended products but dont get ur hopes up like i did. And if nothing works for u either, try just excepting them for what they are, a battle wound won for the awesomest cause. I think we should all be a little less ashamed of them anyway, they're just as natural as birth and a part of life

You all have been great and encouraging!!! My first pregnancy was a breeze I didn't get any stretch mark at all. But I'm on number two and I have scratches on the bottom of my belly that makes me sad to see. I know that I may not do anything about it but your words of wisdom are def helping me feel positive. I will use all of the oils and lotions combined (lol) that you all recommended...if all fails I will go to Robin Pitt's comment: Tummy Tuck & A Boob Job!
Thanks again :-)
i didnt gain too much weigh during my pregnancy, but i carried REALLY low the whole time... so naturally my tummy is trashed with stretch marks.
i researched into making them fade / go away... cant be done! i just keep telling my hubby that after the second kid im getting a tummy tuck and a boob lift. only way to get rid of them and make my belly semi-normal again!!

I found this on www.babycenter.com that sends me weekly updates (I'm due with number 1 this Nov end):
"• Stretch marks As your belly expands to accommodate your growing baby, you may get tiny tears in the supportive tissue that lies just beneath your skin, resulting in striations of varying color. These marks will begin to fade and become considerably less noticeable about six to 12 months after you give birth. There's not much you can do besides trying not to gain more than the recommended amount of weight. Heredity is responsible for the natural elasticity of your skin and plays a role in determining who will end up with stretch marks."
I guess you can't run away from them...but I'm worried about varicose veins more...

hmm I didnt get strect marks on my belly I got some on my inner thighs from water weight, it is mainly about weight gain thru pregnancy.. I used coco butter everyday, I am on my 2nd child and my theory hopfully it works, Not gain as much weight as I did the first time, and hopfully wont get any, I used coco butter on my belly and boobs the frist time and kind of forgot about my thighs so idk if that is why I got some there or not.. but they are fadded.. and I do not think there is anything you can really do to make them actually go away.. you can prob just make them fade

I only got three on my stomach on the left side and it looks like I was scratched by a really big cat, so I'm gona go with that story if someone sees them :D... I did get a lot lower on my abdomen just at the hair line and heaps on my chest after I started to really get big when the milk started to come in. I lost 30pounds in my pregnancy, put lotion on 3-4times a day along with vitamin oil and I still got them. If you get a true stretch mark they will never ever go away unless that specific area of skin is removed but then you would have a scar to look at instead.

I got them pretty bad with my daughter. i used Palmers like a maniac too! :( But when i used Palmers stick with Lavender i broke out in a really bad rash and never had any allergies from lavender before. Just something to think about! good luck!

Hell yes I got them lol...and bad...the only thing that kinda helped me was working out and getting back into shape...but really i believe and alot of research will tell you that you cant completely get rid of them...its part of your family trait thats why some women get them and others dont..b/c trust me i've used every cream and oil there is!

I used Palmers Cocoa Butter especially for Stretch marks. I used it regularly during my pregnancy and a little after having my son and now the stretch marks are only a little visible. I love Palmers range. The Cocoa Butter smells great. Good Luck
