Why is that people get divorced?

I think people give up to easily on relationships... relationships are hard work and when you say I do till death do us part you should be taking that vow to the grave. People need to stop having the idea "well if it doesn't work we can divorce" no you can't... but when i hear people say "we dont get along, or we no longer love each other" well thats a crock of shit... you once got along and once loved each other sooooo WORK ON YOUR RELATIONSHIP... marriage is a commitment to the other person, a LIFE commitment, meaning good times, bad times, horrible times, amazing times... when there is a pit fall dont run away, stay and wait it out or work on it... ne ways i hate divorce (my parents are divorced because my mom now says she never actually loved my dad but married him because all her friends were marrying) ... ne ways sorry i just hate when i hear someone is getting divorced... this is kind of a steam off thing.
pisses me off especially when their are children (unless the children are in harms way)

compromise, commitment, communication, loyalty and trust with the no back door option = a happy hard working marriage LIFE LONG TILL DEATH DO US PART THROUGH THICK AND THIN SICKNESS AND HEALTH ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES... take it seriously people for fing sakes or don't get married at all !!

the only way i see divorce as being okay is if the man or woman is abusing the other person or continuously committing adultery... no one should be tortured this way.

i only said continuously because i am being realisitic... people who have been married 20 years may grow apart for a lil time or maybe lacking something and what not (rocky patch) which is why in the vows they say forgiveness... but i mean if the man is cheating on you like he thinks your nothing then thats not good... or cheats on you alot or with more then one women ... i guess what i am saying if the reason behind the cheating is logically acceptable like not giving your husband sex for a year you have to use your common sense he is only human and has needs...
but other then that i am TOTALLY against adultery for pleasure or fun

I almost totally agree with you, except for the "continuously" part of the adultery statement. Once would all it would take for both my fiance (husband Aug.21/10) and I. Other than that though, we are completely on the same page with the marriage thing.
