I currently have two tattoos and have a design for one for my son. For him, I'm getting an old-west style revolver with a rose wrapped around it, with his name and birthdate on the barrel as the scrollwork. The idea that I originally had before Roland was born doesn't fit him now that he's here, but this one does, and is inspired by where his name came from (the Dark Tower series).

I have 4 kids and 4 tattoos. 1 for each of them, I have my 5 and 4 yr old daughters names on each ankle with a heart underneath. Then for my twins boy/girl I have a set of angel wings on each shoulder blade. His is faded in blue with his name underneath and hers is faded red/pink with her name underneath. I also plan on getting a half sleeve done soon to represent my family. I have 2 stepsons also and want to incorporate them in as well.

I don't have a tattoo... I really want one. I have it all drawn out, it has a kinda scroll bottom and the two little hearts on either side of it. My only challenge is money and I'm really scared of needles.

i have my (first) daughter's name written on my left wrist with some scrolling and her birthdate, its supposed to look like a bracelet. but the artist messed it up a little so i have been reluctant to go and get my other two children's names done until i have it fixed. i plan on putting my son's name on my right wrist and my second daughter is either going to go above the first or on my ankle, not to sure. any suggestions on where it should go?? (we plan on having a fourth and final child at some point as well).

I have a big dragonfly (me) with two pink smaller ones flying behind it (my daughters). I chose dragonflys because the house I grew up in with my parents had a pond and you would always see dragonflys flying around so it reminds me of home. IO also chose a pattern that I could add more to in the event I have more children.

I already have a couple tattoos. But one on my foot of a bumble bee with my Grandfathers initals in the wings. I was thinking about getting the birth month flower (jan. snowdrop) kinda like the bee is landing on it, with my babies initals in the petals.

I just got a tatoo last week for my son. I got my sons hand pointing and there is a butterfly (in his birthstone color) landing on his finger. I got it on my shoulder. The only thing I don't like about where it is, is that I can't see it whenever I want. But for me it's still the best place to put it.

I have a tattoo for both of my children. Like you after having my 1st (my daughter) I decided if I can deal with child birth a tattoo is going to be nothing lol. I wanted mine a little more personalized and always told myself the only names I would put on my body were my kids. Because no matter what even if they disown you they are still your children. I have each of their names one on each arm...my daughters has a symbol with meaning to me and my son I have a dragon wrapped around his name. Good luck! And just remember it's your body what you choose to put there is soley up to you!

Wow! What great ideas! I wanted to get another tattoo (my second) for my son but with my first tattoo it tured out I was allergic to the ink...or at least that is all the doc's could come up with. They even said that if I can't get it to heal up they might have to remove the whole piece of skin! Thank goodness it did finally heal..but the thought of getting another one does kinda scare me! Have you ladies ever had an allergic reaction to your tattoo? Or have you even heard of this happening? Trust me,,anything odd that could happen with my body always does! So maybe it is just me!

I have always wanted a tattoo but everyone has them now,lol..and my mum has drummed it into me that they are "trashy",lol...

I want to get something to represent my daughter on me..but somewhere that is usually covered and NOT for the whole world to see..something just for me not for others....maybe on my ribs or hip..etc.

im not a HUGE fan of tatts anymore ive sorta grown out of that stage,lol...but there is something that i would LOVE answered by people who have tattoos...

WHY in the worldwould you get a tatt on your back where you cant see it?..whats the point of having a tatt if you can only see it in the mirror?..i have no idea why people do it and was wondering if someone could tell me?

thank you Meghan for ur answer, it helped me... Semra, i was thinkin the same as u, but im not thinkin like this anymore n as u can see from my idea bout what i want to have done, it will not ruin a dressy outfit at all...due to my job n social life i cannot have a tattoo on a easily seen place which is not often covered, thats why im thinkin of a small floral initials on the side of my ankle...

I don't have one and won't ever get one. I thikn there is nothing more special then having them right in front of you and plus you have the beautiful pictures as well.

I don't like tatoos as they scar your body and they may look nice now but you will regret it when you're old and they get all wrinkly, stretched and discoloured.

I think it isn't classy and it will ruin a dressy outfit. Think about how beautiful your babys skin is..would you ever want to put a big ink tat on them? I wouldn't want to ruin it and I certainly wouldn't ruin my skin either.

hello. i dont have a tattoo yet but i am getting one. im going to have it placed on the top middle of my back im going to have a guardain angel with wings and 3 hearts and in those hearts im going to have there names put in them. the reason im get that certian one is bc i feel like my kids are my guardain angel bc if it wasnt for them i dont think i would still be alive and the hearts are bc the day they were born they captured my heart. i love my kids so much. and really cute thing u could have done on u is if u have a foot or hand print for when she was born u could have that put on u and have her name and birthday under it.

I dont have one yet but within the month I will be getting one for my son. I have a photo of his heart beat from one of his ultrasounds and I am getting that as an armband on my upper left bicep. It will also have his initials and 090509 (his date of birth). I thought about having a abortion when I first found out I was preggos but soon as I found out he had a heartbeat I fell in love with him and decided to keep him, that is why i am getting his heartbeat as a tattoo

i want one. i have 1 now but its just my zodiac on my lower back, but i want one representing our daughter,my husband, and i want to adopt later on down the line, so i want one that would represent kids and my husband and i without names. im not one who likes names tattood on me, especially a husband or bf just in case. you never know things may not work and then you have an ex's name on you. but i eventually want one on my shoulder blade.

My Hubby and I both have tattoos for our first daughter. Though it wasn't our first one. Tattoos are great but if you get one it should be for something special so I would do it for your daughter! I got my tattoo on my wrist for my daughter and I made it so I can add on to it if or when I have another child so think about doing that way to because once you get one tattoo you can't stop there, it is addicting!!!

I have 4 tattoos right now but in fact I am going this weekend to get the Aquarius (my daughter) and the carpicorn (me) constellations on my side. They will be in 2 different colors to be distinct. It will look just like a cluster of stars to the un-knowing eye.

I am planning on getting my daughter's footprint done with her name by it under my arm (like protection) on my rib cage. I've been putting it off for the last 2 years because other things just seem like better things to spend the money on. I asked for it for my birthday this year (again) so we'll see if i get it or have to wait another year. When we have more kids i will get their footprint(s) done down my side so it looks like they're walking up my side.

I have several tattoos, which all mean something to me, I am currently working with my artist to have my kids' names placed on me, I have stars on both hips, which is where my sons name will go, b/c that's where my labor pains were with him, and my daughters will go down my ribs and side for the same reason. My son's name is going to be in his own handwriting, which will make this tattoo even more meaningful! Good luck with your decision, and make sure that the artist you choose is clean and safe!

I git my daughters name and date of birth underneath tattoed on the outside of my lower arm (from the wrist upwards) I got it done about a week after she was born because i was that proud of her that i needed something to remind me of the best day of my life. The tattoo you are thinking sounds lovely... you should defo have it done. My daughter is 14months and when she sees the tattoo she alwys points at it and i always tell her 'Ye thats you, it tells me that you are my special little girl' granted she just laughts and shuffles away but i will always tell her the same thing!!!
