u r so true. Time out or sounds gr8. I dnt beat my son but i jus had to ask. i didnt want to resolve to spanking him because i dnt want him to be that way. but thanks n e way

All children are going to do that regardless if they are spanked or not.. You can teach them how to behave without using violence. You are just teaching them to get physical when someone does something they don't like.

is there some reason why you can't at least try something like time-out first? or a 'no-no, we don't do that...'? Throwing things down or screaming is a TANTRUM...which has a great remedy known as a time-out. Takes some practice to do it right on your part though as it can't be done in anger or resentment.

It saddens me people have so little faith in their children they think they can only learn from violence.
