Does a high heart rate really mean it is a girl? Or just a myth?

It hasn't technically been proven but my daughter was always between 155 and 170 and my son always between 130 and 145. My OB says she's always used it as a guess and it has worked for her most of the time.

Any of the temperature/location of fetus (high or low)/heart rate/Chinese birth calender "birth predictors" are usually false. If they give a correlating response, it's most likely just a coincidence. The only sure-fire 100% was of knowing the baby's sex is peeking between their legs once they're born (and even that's not 100%, as there are a few locations in the world where it's been documented that children are born anatomically female and then develop into men at puberty). Having an amniocentesis is pretty accurate - I don't know the exact rates, but I'd assume it's pretty close to 100%, as it's actual fetal cells. But they are risky and painful and should not be used solely for determining the sex of the baby.

Its a myth. Fetal heart rates vary a lot throughout pregnancy, and with movement. There's no correlation with gender.
