Aimee!
Thanx a lot dear, very helpful...my son wont u/stand yet if i distract them through some adult dialogue hehe so i'' try do whatever that can distract him. DVD player?? Sounds like a good idea, now i know why you the Westerns like to put DVD players inside ur car *smile*. In my country, yea some families do have it but its not meant to train their kid sit in the car seat, its just for entertainment in general. if im gona get it, im gona do it for the car - seat training of coz :-) BEING VERY STRICT , I like your suggestion there. i'll try... so far i am, but we have yet to try the long distance travelling...uh cant imagine it hehe...thanx a lot Aimeeee!! visit my blog if u need some boring stuff to read bout parenting n life haha (!) http://musalmikholid.blogspot.com/ ~~ wish me luck

My 3 year old and 1 year old both love to go driving as they have a couple of toys/books in the car and can see out to window too. I find that before they start to get restless try distracting them, even the smallest things can amuse them, like "how many red cars can you find?" or "wow look, a motorbike!" or "ohh lets look out that window" and point to the window in time to see a fire truck etc. Im not sure where you are from, but a lot of my friends have portable DVD players that they can take on the occasional long drive. I don't know if that's an option for you.

One thing that I have been very strict on is that they do not have an option to sit in it, they must sit in it or we don't go.

Anyway, good luck
