Due date- early or late? Same as your mom?

Well, my mom had me on my due date. I had my daughter just hours before her due date. Coincidence? No idea =) Good luck though!

i was 4 days early when i had my daughter and my mom was induced for my sister when she was 2 weeks late then the rest of us born after my sister were schedual c-sections, my sister was a couple days late having her baby. but my grandmother had 8 children and she always said as soon as i get to 4 cm that means the baby will be born within the hour and it was true for her. and when i had my daughter once i reach 4 cm within a half hour i was 9 cm and pushing 15 min later my daughter was born. my total labor time was 10 1/2 hours

My mom had me on my due date and had my brother a couple of weeks early. I also had my baby a couple of weeks early but I was induced so not sure if that counts. I've read though that boys are more likely to come early than girls. I had a boy. ;)

I agree. I think it has a lot to do with the little one. I carried quite simillar to my mom when she was having my sister and both our babies came early but my sister also carried simillar and my newphew was pretty much right on time. All the births in my family have been different. My sister was an average delivery time and everything went smoothly. My mom had both of us in about 7 hours. My daughter was 22 hours of labour. My aunt was 36 hours of hard labour and two of my other aunts were both c-section. It will all depend on what your baby decides that they want. I am pregnant now with my second and am hoping for a smooth uncomplicated labour. I also hope that is a lot less time than his/her sister. I know this might sound crazy but I also hope that it is late! lol Dont really want to share my birthday. lol

I'm sure it's not so simple, but interestingly I carried my son almost as long as my mom-in-law! My mom-in-law went 44 weeks with all three kids, and I went 43 weeks (natural, not induced) - so maybe my son takes more after his dad? I guess there could be something to it, that babies in his family just gestate longer! My own mom was 40 weeks + 3 days with all 3 kids, and my son went WAY past that :)

I had the same due date for my son as my mother did for me. Dec 2nd. I was born early on November 25th and my son was overdue born on December 10th. So it was different. Both of my sisters were overdue with their babies as well, while my mom had all of us earlier than her due date. I think its just different with everybody.

I was a scheduled c-section, however my daughter was 19 days past her due date and ended up being born by emergency c-section after 4 days of labor...she was bound and determined to stay in there :P

nope all my moms kids were early . im the oldest and i was 2 weeks early the middle was a month early and the youngest was 2.5 months early and mine the first was 3 weeks late and the second was induced because there were some problems

Me and my mom were almost exactly the same with our first children! About 2 weeks early for both and we are completely different people, she is tall and skinny and I am short and definitely not as scrawny as her. I got hip and boobs from my dad's side and my mom is a pole haha. It can definitely happen but I don't think it should be planned on!

I am not carrying like my mom, but very similar to my grandmother. She was also 2 weeks early and my mom was 1 week late with all of her kids (myself included) so I am interested to see if anyone else has found this to be true!

well my mom was induced two weeks late with both my brother and me, but i delivered my son right on his due date

That would depend solely on the little one in your belly! I have read things about it too, I'm carrying ( and looking pretty much identical ) to like my mom though, but thinks it's all up to the little one!
