My little guy will be 11 months old this week and I still can't get him to eat finger foods. He will eat it and then gag on the food and spit up. Any ideas on what I can give him that he will be able to chew?

Cheerios, soft fruit (bananas, peaches, etc.), cheese, ..
like Jessica said, I think that you have to give him a chance. he is learning and will unfortunately gag on some of his food. just make sure he's always supervised and soon enough he will eat anything without problem.

One of my sons (now 8 years old) still gags if he takes a bite that is very big at all. When he was little I always gave him items cheerios size and smaller. His favorite was frozen peas. I would take and run warm water on them straight from the freezer. He would eat them up.

Have you tried the gerber finger foods, they dissolve quickly. You can also try soft foods like bananas. Be patient he'll get it, some kiddos just like to take their time with things.
PS. If you are really worried take him to his doc, it's better to have peace of mind then to stressed out
