i have had really bad cramping and sharp pains in my stomach/pelvic region for the past few days... it feels like a rupturing ovarian cyst and like a broken rib running right across your belly button from side to side. it got so bad to where i would lie down and just start crying. i finally went to the ER and after 5 hours they didnt know what it was bc they werent picking up premature labor (im 24 wks) pains/contraction.... has anyone had this problem before or have any ideas what it might be? the pain would be constant for 10 min. staight then every few minutes for a couple minutes for about the next half hour..... every hour or so and it felt like my uterus was twitching every so often....

I would get checked out. I was about 35 or 36 weeks along with my daughter and I was in terrible terrible pain. I went to the ER. It was a UTI. I had never had one before. It actually was causing me stress and I started having contractions. My stomach hurt really low. They sent me home with antibiotics and the contractions stopped like 5 or 6 hours later. Well when I was about 4 months along I had a really bad sharp pain right next to my belly button on the right and I couldn't even stand up. It felt like something in my stomach was tearing. I was so scared I went to the er that night too and it was Gallstones. I had to stop eating fried greasy foods till I had my daughter. Then I got my gallbladder removed after I had her. They were worried that they would have to remove it during my pregnancy but, they didn't. I just was careful with what I ate and didn't have anymore pain. They took it out 2 months after I had her. Get it checked out asap. Don't wait.

i had a UTI that hurt soooo much and my son would sit on my bladder and when he wasnt there he was on my sciatic nerve, SO i know what your going through, make sure you get tested for a UTI you need antibiotics for that and the sooner the better!!!

braxton hicks can be that bad, also it could be the baby moving or your uterus expanding. my daughter moved alot and it hurt sometimes. really bad where i felt like i couldint move. that would explain why your uterus felt like it was moving. at 6 months your baby can be very active. sorry your hurting and i hope that you find a solution. and kidney stones are very possible, thats a good thing to look at.

When I was pregnant I had a lot of Braxton Hicks and they aren't really that bad but I did hurt a lot and they found that I had a UTI you need to go to your OBGYN or family doc and be checked.

braxton hicks arent' that painful. Autumn may be on to something - i would get more things checked out - My friend had pain and vomiting - they tried to say she had the flu - in august!!! she had her baby a mo. later - and then was landed right back in the hospital -- she had gall stones, a large cyst on her stomach, and her pancreas has been slowly digesting itself - among other problems.

GO back in, and fight for more testing and second opinions -- you should not be int hat kind of pain!! It is not normal. Make them check for all other possiblities with your other organs.

Take care, I hope you find what is going on - let us know please!!

Actually, when I was about 6 months along with my 3rd I had severe pains and I laid there crying. I went to the ER and found out I had a kidney stone which also started my contractions. With kidney stones the pain is mostly on the left side but being pregnant the pain shoots every where.
