Bumbo, Boppy, or just lots of pillows to prop them up!

Do you have a boppy pillow(the "U" shaped pillow)?? I used it and the bumbo chair for a long time... also when I used the bumbo chair it was in the kitchen with me so he could watch me cook. If we used it somewhere else he hated it but he liked watching me in there.

a friend of ours got my daughter one of those little stacker things. (idk how else to describe it) anyway we used that to kind of let her prop herself on. she did really good with it. it helped alot

oh yeah, some babies just dont like the bumbo! i would maybe sit on the floor and put him between your legs, on the floor, this way he is learning to sit, and you can make sure he is sitting up correctly! its also a great opportunity to read to him!

we have the Bumbo.. he doesn't seem to care for it. Ever since he "ound" his feet he always leans foward to get them.. or has his little fit in and arches his back to try and get out. I try putting him on the couch like in the corner but he always falls to the side.. So I am lost now. haha

we also used the Bumbo! DS loved it and was sitting on his own quite well in about a month, we kept him in the bumbo until he started twisting out of it! also we just got ours from kijiji, they are VERY durable, so that wasn't a problem, and we got the Bumbo and tray for $30, as opposed to $80, which is what they sell for in Toys R us!! also, squishing them in a corner of the chesterfield helps them sit too, but sometimes they can only sit on soft surfaces like that, (my son would only sit on soft surfaces, but after we got the bumbo, he could sit on the floor as well!)

We used the bumbo seat and he loved it. As he developed the muscles he didn't need the seat for support anymore.
