ER and Hospital Stay...

I had to go to the ER because I had a fever 103.5 and really bad pain to the point of crying and couldnt move on my right side. And im 18 weeks pregnant. Turns out I had a Kidney Infection my doctor who is also my OB was great left her practice to be with me and got in the the hospital and ordered lots of test and monitoring the baby due to the fact of my last pregnancy was all different types of infections never a kidney infection.... But Im glad everything is fine with the baby and I had great care in the hospital. I was just wondering If anyone else has gone threw this with pregnancy or even out of pregnancy???

I had kidney stones with my first. I've been in the hospital twice with this one, and have had to have two ultrasounds done on my kidneys. I'm 35 weeks pregnant. They thought I had kidney stones that induced labor both times, but the ultrasounds came back clear. Now, they have me on meds to stop me from having contractions. I was on antibiotics, too, but they told me I didn't have to keep taking them, as there is no infection in either of my kidneys or bladder (there's apparently no reason for the blood in my urine).

Thankfully, like you, my baby is doing great. I know what I'm going through is not exactly the same as what you're going through, but it is similar and I do understand the worry and pain and other emotions you're going through. I'm glad everything is okay... and that you have such a good doctor! Good luck.

im in my 3rd pregnancey and have to say im lucky never had any of this! glad u n baby r ok
