Has anyone failed their one hour Glucose test by a small number and gotten gestational Diabetes? I am so upset finding out I failed. I already had to do the 1 hour test twice because the hosipital screwed up the first test!! Now I have to go in again for 3 hours because of 5 points! Normal is under 140 and I got 145. I am so upset I started bawling on the phone to the nurse. To me it seems like 5 points is not even worth it. My first pregnancy I had no issues and passed just fine. I will of corse do it again but I just preparing myself mentally. I just want to hear from mom's who either failed a few points and passed the 3 hour and those who failed by a few and ended up with diabetes! I am trying to prepare myself mentally!

I didn't fail mine, but probably you would have to take the test again at a later date. Maybe within a week or so. I was told not to eat anything after midnight. Very hard since I was very hungry that morning. Plus the taste was like flat Sunkist pop!

I failed the 1 hour by a little less than 5 points, went in to do the 3 hour and it came back fine. Don't stress

I failed it with a 154 and passed the 3 hour. I wouldn't worry about it, and if you do have it it will be ok. Good luck!

With my first I passed no problem but with my second I failed the one hour twice and then passed the three hour. I would not stress, just relax and go in to have the three hour test. I did not have GD at all but I sure freaked out.

When I was pregnant w/ twins I failed the 1 hour (barely) and passed the 3 hour. When I was pregnant w/ my son I also failed the one hour, but refused to take the 3 hour test. I could NOT take that test again. They 'treated' me as if I had failed though. I saw a nutritionist and had to test my blood sugars 4 times/day. I was totally fine... actually a bit UNDER most of the times.

I failed my one hour and the three hour. Not because I had gestational diabetes..although that is what I was diagnosed at like 14 weeks pregnant! I went and had the test done really early because I mentioned to the doc that I had a cold and was soooo thirsty. Well, I guess that is a sign of gest. diabetes. So I falied all the tests and was told to see a G.D. specialist. I couldn't get in for months and months. But my sugar blood level that I checked 4 times a day was always fine. So when I finally got into see the specialist I was told that there is no way I could have been diagnosed with GD since the placenta at that early time when the diagnosed me was way to small to produce the results! I have an intolerance to the syrup crap that they make you drink. My body doesn't digest it. So, my pregnancy was labeled high risk because there was no removing that GD label once it is on there. So it cost more BUT I got to have so many ultrasounds which was awesome! Plus I got to see with an ultrasound the blood running through my child's different heart chambers! That was awesome! So long story long, I would really check into those 5 points BEFORE they label you GD. AND because of the label..any pregancy that I have in future will probably also be labeled that from the get go I was informed. UGH! Good luck with your baby btw! That is awsome that you are going to have a little one! I'm jealous! Sorry about my rant!
