My daughter is 2, and was doing fine in her crib. The other day she pooped and threw it out of her diaper and is now TERRIFIED of her crib. Right now, I'm working on getting a toddler bed, but in the meantime, what can I do? I can't just stick her in the crib and let her deal, she'll climb right out. Suggestions?

if your going to move her to a toddler bed you can buy the matress first and put it on the floor. Get her use to sleeping in a bed with no sides and will also help her to learn to stay on the matress and not fall out

why is she afraid of her crib? It makes no sense that she would be afraid if she threw poop. And why would you let your daughter stay in a crib that she can climb out of and possibly break an arm, leg or even her neck if she stepped wrong? Check www.freecycle.org for free stuff such as toddler beds, that is where I got mine and other things for our home.

Isnt the mattress from a crib/cot the size of a toddler bed? My son, aged two all of a sudden wanted a big bed. In one day he was in a big single with a safety barrier he can get in and out as he likes.

Sure. Jello in the bath too I guess haha
I've also heard of noodles, and well pretty much anything you can imagine to cook play and eat with

That actually sounds like fun. As for why the poop scares her, about a week before she pooped in the tub and it freaked her out. Got her back in the tub, but now she won't go near either. The bath I'm not as worried about cuz she'll shower with me, just the crib thing. Thanks!

Why did poop scare her? Try putting really exciting stuff in the crib, like even some really cool jello to make a mess with and after you clean it up maybe she'll be happier in there again?
