Anyone had succes with conceiving with a man who has Varicocele? Anyone have no luck at all? My husband and I are trying for going on 7 months- I know it's not long enough to worry yet, but I do know that he has Varicocele and that is suppose to make conceiveing more difficult. I was just wanting to hear of other couples stories- successful or not....

Is it on both sides or just one? If its just one then you should be fine. While most insurance companies have a 12 months of unprotected sex rule about fertility treatments, he can be seen for the varicocele now. When he goes to the doctor mention that you are trying to get pregnant- insurance companies pay better and sooner when the fertility problem is the male (personal experience on that part). Good luck!!!

My doctor told us that we should give it a year of trying before seeking help. We didn't have varicocele and are still not sure what caused our infertility. It took 2 and half years to get pregnant. If you know there is a potential fertility issue, i would speak with you GP about getting referred to a specialist. Good luck and God bless!

I think my ex had that, but he didn't get it until after I was already pregnant with my son. Good luck to you, though. If you can, try going to either a sex therapist (they deal with these issues sometimes) or a fertility clinic.

It is an abnormal enlargement of the vein that is in the scrotum draining the testicles. symptoms are:
Dragging-like or aching pain within scrotum.
Feeling of heaviness in the testicle(s)
Atrophy (shrinking) of the testicle(s)
Visible or palpable (able to be felt) enlarged vein, likened to feeling a bag of worms.
Infertility. Recently several scientific researches have shown that in over 90% of the cases in male infertility the main cause is bilateral varicocele

But thank you for your prayers :) They are appreciated

I apologize that I do not know what that is. I will pray that you will be able to have your hearts desire and that it will happen not in our timing but in God's timing because he knows what the best timing would be for you.
