Finding friends same status of life

I have a very hard time finding friends with the same status as my family. Me and my fiance r young with a three year old. Most of our friends r the same age as us, but they r single or they don't have kids. We like going out once in a while just the two of us, but we also enjoy being together as a family and doing things. How can u find friends that r at the same point, i've tried to connect with old friends that have kids but it just seems like they r still at that party stage that wanna go out all the time and I'm wayy past that stage. Can anyone help me out.

Sometimes you can find out where they are held through your local autority i.e. the council, your home brough! :-)

Well im 21 and my partner is a few years older and we have a daughter aged 4. We love goin out on family outings and aso partying it up, lol. Where r u from, uk?

Our local groups are through the hospitals. There are also church groups like MOPs or just general mom groups.

I feel the exact same way . i still go out with my friends every now and then ..( not very often) but when i do i feel out of place like we are not in the same spot in our lives at all... they are still single or dating and can go and do whatever they want , when they want . Whereas i have 2 small children i cant just get up and go ..I find it very hard because of my age finding other parents my age with kids even close to kids age especially my oldest shes 5 . Im 25 . I wish i had an answer ? The moms groups are sometimes held in a community center or church something like that.... i tried but it didnt really work for me . There were a lot of "older" moms there and they kind of looked differently at me because iam a young mom and i look even younger than what iam ...I hope you situation works out better .. That mothers group sounds good, does anyone have any ideas on how to find these groups.

I Agree with Vicki, mom's groups are a great idea. I'm kinda in the same boat as you, im 22 with a 2 year old and a almost 7 month old. you also may try local parks, usually there are moms with young children, or even walking around the neighborhood- if you are in an area where it's safe to do that- you may find that there are more people in similar situations near you than you may think

Mothers groups are always great. I know you said you have a young family. If your children go to day care or anything like that you could try to connect with other parents from there.

Find out if there are any local mothers' groups. Quite often there are a lot of moms feeling the same as you, who love to go out for coffee with other moms and their spouses.
