My five month old daughter is growning great but having some problems with formula. We switched her when she was a month old to soy milk due to a lactose sensitivity. Now my baby throws up almost every feeding and i know that babies do spit up but this is so much more than just the normal spit up. any suggestions?? I have even been keeping track of feeding times and amounts to make sure we arnt over feeding her. Kinda lost at this point..

We have talked to her doctor she suggested to switch to a new formula the for spit up. but we have been having issues for a couple months now and just cant figure it out which formula is right. Right now we are on enfamil AR and still not much better.

How new of an issue is this? Could it be a stomach bug or has it been going on too long for that? Does she have reflux/any signs of discomfort? Is she spitting up when you are burping her?
My son has reflux and is lactose intolerant, but he is breastfed so IMPO it is easier to control.... He has been spoon fed rice cereal and baby food since about a month old which has helped a LOT with the spit up which was after and between feeding even during feedings and still is now that he has refused to eat solids for about a week now. He is now 6 months old and I had taken him off of the reflux meds and he is now spitting up again.
Talk with her pediatrician about this and with her being 5 months old she should be able to start on rice cereal (you can also try barley or oats to avoid constipation) and baby food which should weigh down the formula some.

Good luck and a call to the pediatrician would be best!

Kristian it sounds as if she may have acid reflux. And the reccomendation is to switch them to lactaid free milk or hydrolyzed protein formula. However i would definitly give your pediatrician a ring before you make that drastic change.
