I have tried lots of formulas, and we stuck to nestle good start and I really liked it. But my monkey girl started spitting up but I started trying different ones... Now I am upset cause none of them seem as good as Good Start. And I enjoy getting money back from Good start! What have you found to be the best brand of baby formula??

My son is on similac alimentum. He has a really sensitive stomach and acid reflux. This stuff works amazing, its the best brand of baby formula we've found!

I tryed Good Start and it made my daughter constipated and she didn't like the taste of the formula. So I started getting WIC, they provide Enfamil, she went through several kinds of Enfamil until we found one that was right for her, it was the Enfamil Prosobee.
With my first child We got the regular Enfamil through WIC.

my son is on similac alimentum. because he has trouble taking the cows milk protein. and he hasnt spit any formula up since we put him on it. also he was drinking 8 ounces with the similac advance but he gets fuller with the alimentum. so now he only drinks 6 oz of formula.

i use enfamil lower iron. the reason i use it is because i was planning on breastfeeding but had gotten some free formula samples. i wasn't able to produce enough breastmilk and also hated breastfeeding after trying it. enfamil was one of the free samples i got and it was the first one we tried with him and he seemed to like it. we originally started on the higher iron one but he got constipated so we switched to lower iron.

similac isomil advanced, my son has a milk allergy and could hold anything down, this stuff is perfect for him other than a little constipation

We used Nestle Good Start with DHA/ARA, Immune Supporters, and Natural Cultures. My daughter would spit up but I think it was a combination of us not really knowing how much milk to give her a each feeding and not allowing her the proper time to digest her food. Our doctor just reminded us that her stomach is roughly the size of her fist and to sit her upright for at least 30 minutes after she eats. It really helped. Oh, and she didn't get sick. So maybe you could try again with Good Start and see if it helps her.

not to be rude, but breast milk is the best stuff out there. all I can say is don't use soy, an 8 ounce bottle of soy formula has the equivalent amount of estrogen as in 20 birth control pills. all formula's are not the same, they all have nutritional requirements that must be met, but the actual chemical formula varies between brand.

i use parents choice. i started out with nestle good start (powdered) but our pedi told us to put her on the concentrate stuff, so we tried similac, and that just made her constipated sooo bad, so we went to parents choice (wal mart brand) because of the cost mostly, plus our pedi told us there isnt a lot of difference between name brand and store brand. my daughter still spits up a lot, but every doc ive asked about it said shes fine because shes gaining weight and developing. im hoping to be able to put her on homo milk when shes 9 months and hopefully thatll stop her reflux. good luck!

we started out with the regular enfamil with my twins once my daughter was off the specail weight gain formula she had to be on for a while. But they spit up on almost everything we tried, so we finally settled on Enfamil AR and it worked wonders for them. I'm not certain yet what formula we'll use when this little boy will be born.

Good start gentlease. We went through enfamil premium, and similac sensitive. We ended up with good start b/c it helped her gas and constipation problems. Good start has more fiber than other brands, well at least that is what the pedi told us.

I use member's mark (sam's club brand) for all my kids. My first 3 kids I used the regular and my last baby was born with some problems, so she is on the gentle and does really good with it. Formula fed babies tend to spit up more then breatfed babies, so a little spit up is normal.

I used Enfamil Gentlease for my son. He had the same spitting up problem as well as gas. This formula fixed both of those problem for him! Good luck to you

Hi Enfamil is only good for some, my baby got terribly constipated and really fussy on Enfamil and thats because its a heavier formula which would make sense why your baby was great on it! I had talked to a dr about it and they blamed the constipation on that formula and said it will do that alot if your baby doesnt have a problem with acid reflux. so i would only choose that if she has acid reflux. :) just a thaught wouldnt want to see another baby get as constipated! its awfull.......

Enfamil AR. My little girl was diagnosed with Acid Reflux and the doc wanted to give her Zantac. I took the script and gave it to her once. I believe that there is a reason for everything and a better way to fix an issue than pumping them full of meds. We tried the AR and after the first feeding she was a brand new baby. No more fussiness, screaming and spitting up for an hour after she ate. This stuff is wonderful and I hope it works for your little munchkin. Good luck.

I use good start soy. My daughter started on Similac Advance, after I had to stop breast feeding and was miserable. She would scream from morning till night. I tried her on the regular Good Start fomula after the Similac, and she was spitting it all up, so her doctor told me to try either the soy based good start of enfamil, (I chose good start b.c my friend had like 7 extra cans from when her baby switched to milk) And this is the only formula that has worked for her. And also, if you sign up on the Good Start website, they mail you a ton of coupons!

We use Similac Sensitive - the regular Similac constipated my baby, the soy give makes his dirty diapers runny.

We use Similac advance with Digeast Ease with omega 3 and 6. She was the happiest on it and the hospitals use similac here. She got constipated on some other kinds.

My son drinks Enfamil Premium Lipil.....that's what they gave us in the hospital when he was born, and he did just fine with it. However, I tried giving him the powder form when he was five days old, and it gave him gas. So we only use the concentrate. It's a little bit pricey sometimes, but well worth it!

Once I switched from breast to formula, I always stuck to Similac with all of my kids, but with my youngest, I used Enfamil Gentlease. It's really easy on the baby's stomach and is made for babies that can't handle normal formula.

We have always used Parent's Choice (walmart brand) and my daughter has never had a problem with it and she is now 4 1/2 months old. My doctor told me that Parent's Choice is the exact same as Good Start without the name brand and its A LOT cheaper..I only pay $13 for a big can!!

I was forced to use simlac organic for my boy. He was insanely colic and didn't even respond to formulas made just for colic and sensitive infants! I tried simlac organic and the wal-mart brand organic formulas and it helped BIG time!!

We've tried a couple different types of Formula but we ended up sticking with Isomil Soy Protein because he was losing weight on milk based formulas. With this one though he's gaining weight at a good rate and keeping it down a lot more.

My almost three-month-old daughter uses Enfamil Advanced Lipil during the day and Enfamil Restful at night. I was the one that bought into their advertising about how it's the closest fomula to breastmilk when I had trouble nursing. But she's done VERY well on it so it's what I've decided to keep her on. The Restful makes a BIG difference at night. She's eat anywhere from 4-8 ounces of it at night and sleep for almost 8 hours before she wakes up to eat. If she eats the regular, she's awake every 4 hours to eat.

My son is 11 months old so I have him pretty much off the bottle but the first few months after he was born, I tried about 4 different kinds of formula and he was constantly spitting up and not gaining any weight. The doctor said that some babies are just spitters but I finally found Enfamil ProSobee, which is for lactose intolerant babies and he never spit up again after using it.

Similac made my little one SO constapated and he spit up all the time. We tried good Start and it was so expensive, now we have been using Enfalmil Premium LIPIL andhe is fine. He will be 9 months on friday and we have been using it since he was 5 months. I would ask your Dr. and see what they say, but trying different fomulas did help us.

I use Good Start or the generic of Good Start- that I found at Walgreens believe it or not, it's the only one that says compare to Good Start. My baby was breastfed for 6 months and now that he's 8 months and I work full-time I couldn't keep up. This is the only formula that doesn't give him the runs or bad gas. I'm all about generics to save money- the ingredients are exactly the same!- even the percentages!

We used Enfamil Gentelease, then after deciding it was too much money we switched to Target Up and Up Similar to Gentelease. My baby spit up horribly. The dr. said it was normal and he didn't have reflux. My son lived in a bib until about 6 months, then the spitting up started to slow down. He still spits up a few times a day (he will be eight months on Friday). Some babies spit up, most of the time switching formulas isn't going to do any good. The only time you need to worry is if your little one isn't gaining weight, or is loosing weight. Otherwise spitting up is normal.

we have been on wic with both of our boys and they provide enfamil powder. but when we run out of it, we go to wal mart and buy the parents choice brand. it is much cheaper(pay the same for a big can of pc as a small can of enfamil) and it does not affect our boys at all!

Both my son's have had to have Similac Isomil Advance which is the soy formula because they use to spit up with anything else. As they both gotten older I realized they were lactose intolerant and aren't able to drink regular milk and my oldest is on Lactaid (milk without the proteins) you could try a Soy based formula my doctor told me even if they are not allergic to milk like my kids are it can be gentler on a infants stomach. Also I love saving the money as well you can go to similac.com and sign up for coupon and you will get a ton in the mail during the month and that saves you tons of money that way :) hope this helps and good luck I know formula days and choices are hard for sure!!!

(it's only $13 for a 1kg can of powder or $23 for a case of 12 just add water cans) i have tried many different brands before this and my son didn't like any of them but he takes this stuff with no problems. good luck finding one that works for you
