I have just started making my own baby food and am looking for ways to freeze it. I was wondering if I could pour it into Gerber Seal N Go Breast Milk Storage Bags and then freeze it that way? I have so many of these bags and figured it may be a good way to use them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks :)

Where do you get those types of ice cube trays, that sounds like a good idea!

i also used ice cube trays and specially designed ice cube trays for weaning .. they are rubber and a lot flexible so its easier to take a cube out and they hold a slightly bigger amount of food in each cube and have more cubes

you can also get freezable pots for storing food in.

i think that the milk storage bags will probably work pretty well

i use ice cube trays too, then once the food is frozen i put the cubes into plastic baggies. i like using the ice cube trays because then you can put the amount you want for one meal into each cube, and i found that easier. but yeah, those bags would probably work, too.

I personally don't like the ice cube tray thing, since the baby will eat more than that, and they take up more room in the freezer. I used old spaghetti jars, minced garlic jars, and type of jar I had I would wash it out thoroughly and use it. It takes up less space, and for me works best.

hi there! i make my own food to and what i did was freeze it into ice cube trays and then take them out of the trays and just put the cubes in a big ziplock....for beginner eaters one cube is usually a serving and when they start eating more, just add a cube :) i've never used milk storage bags, but i'm sure if you measured out a serving per bag it would work as well - you just end up with lots of little bags instead of one big bag.
