Gaining weight after having my child

When I was pregnant, I actually lost 15 pounds because I was having difficulty eating very much. Now that I have had my son, my appetite has come back worse than ever before. Since my son was born, I have gained almost 50 pounds. On top of eating about every 4 hours-ish, I am working full time and going to college 3/4 time which really limits my personal time... My son is 8 months old, he is teething and not sleeping very well. My husband does try to get up with him during the night, but he can't do that every night because he will get more exhausted than me. Does anyone have a suggestion how to control the eating urges and/or food suggestions that would fit into my very busy sleep deprived schedule?

Well I know it's tough. I had a similar effect after my daughter was born. I haven't lost alot of weight I've gained but I've started to. For one I realized I was more snacking than actually properly eating. Any snacks in my house I've changed to healthier substance. If there are not so good snacks in the house for my boyfriend I put them in a hard to reach place that are out of site. And put healthier snacks like crackers and yogurt and fruit and healthier easy to make meals more visible. Whenever I have a chance I get down on the floor and play with my daughter and even if she's just playing on her own I'll do some stretches. Not hard work, but just a little something to help the metabolism. If my daughter starts crying and I have to pick her up I'll stay standing and do little things like lunges or squats while holding onto her. I know it's not alot that can be done in such a tiring schedule, but every little bit helps. If things continue to get worse I've been looking into things like the "full bar" a friend of mine used that recently and lost like 80 pounds in about a year. It can be costly at first, and that's why I haven't quite gotten to trying it.
But anyways... I wish luck to you and hope you don't stress too much. Even if it doesn't seem possible to lose it all now keep your hopes up. Tomarrow is always another day.
