I was talking with one of my girlfriends a few weeks back and we started talking about the "Gender Prediction Chart" aka "Chinese Gender Chart" and she was telling me about a little test you could do that may predict if you will have a girl or boy. She says you can kinda plan it also. So I asked her about it and she said she was hanging with other young moms that know their exact month of conception / how old they were when they conceived their babies. So they decided to run the test and see if it was actuate. So they took their year (i.e I was 21 when I conceived my son) and added the month they conceive in (i.e. I conceived in march so that is the 3rd month) SUBTRACT ONE FROM SUM and it looks like this { 21 + 3 = 24 - 1 = } so she says that if you come out with an EVEN NUMBER then you will have a GIRL but if you come out with and ODD NUMBER then you will most likely have a BOY.
What I wanna know is HOW ACCURATE IS THIS THING? Can a bunch of you please do your math for in the reply box so I can compare all results and see what percentage of accuracy We come out with?
It is supposed to be 90% accurate but a survey done in 1999 said that it is less then 75% accurate.
So lets see what we come up with?!?! =)
Age of Conception + Month you Conceive in = NUMBER - 1 = EVEN (GIRL) ODD (BOY)
P.S. My LMP before I got pregnant was the end of Feb 2009 but I KNOW I that I didnt have sex until Mid-March and I count it as that and not from Feb. Same as my friends.
Just thought you guys might want to know that.
