My son will be one on March 5th. Our plans are to move out all baby furniture from his room to have more play area. So I'm planning on organizational things for toys and books. I'll probably cave and buy a few toys also. My son played with one of those sit and spin things yesterday at my friend's house seems as though those would be lots of fun. My son was too short he's roughly 30in.

When my son first turned 1 we got him some extra large plastic lego blocks. He loves them even now. And it helps with motor skills, colors, imagination, etc... We bought them from walmart. Make sure they are plastic though...he likes to throw them sometimes...lol And the wooden ones hurt. Hope that helps! :)

If we aren't going with toys and you want something more personal. I normally get the boys a personalized name gift normally somthing to hang on the wall for a keepsake and not to play with but my boys have unique names that you don't see everyday so its harder for me. I like those pull carts that help with walking
