Good party snacks/dips?

Im having a passion party in the middle of this month and i would kindda like to make something "different" to snack on. I know the basics(spinach, buffalo chicken, taco, etc.) but i would really like to surprise my guests with something new! Even if it isn't a dip maybe something easy and cute? Any ideas?

Beetroot hummus looks pretty crazy - it is bright pink and tastes better than it sounds. You can serve it with poppadoms to dip, or pita bread, crackers, vegetable sticks.
Dukkar is really delicious - it is a ground up mix of nuts, sesame seeds and spices. You can make your own or buy pre-made. You serve it with bread - dip the bread in some good olive oil or nut oil, then dip that in the dukkar powder. It is really good.

you should make a cob loaf. you get a whole loaf of unsliced bread, chop the top off and carve out the insides like a bowl. you then make a dip and fill the inside and place the top back on. chop the bread that you have carved and place it around the loaf and then put it in the oven. the bread around the outside goes toasty to dip into the dip and the dip goes warm. the good thing is that when the dipping bread is finished you then break the loaf apart and eat it too so nothing is wasted. You can do all different kinds of dips to put inside. i like philly cream cheese, chives, bacon, avocado or capsicum dip. Sometimes i put tuna in it. lots of different variations!! and is really yummy!!

Pin Wheels

Tortilla shells
Cream cheese
chopped up olives
any type of meat (ham, turkey, etc)

take the tortilla shell, spread cream cheese on it, lay the meat down ontop of the cream cheese, then the olives and any thing else, I have seen lettuce on them too. Roll them up and store in the fridge for about 30 mins then take them out and cut them up.

Stuffed mushrooms, Tapas, mini desserts like, eclairs, fruit tarts, and chocolate dipped strawberries- might be fun for that kind of party lol. You can get shells in the freezer section. or put a spin like fish tacos- those are really popular in restaurants. I like the cheese ball idea and the fruit flowers can be tricky at first but look great. I'm in the culinary field and we had to make veg and fruit arrangements. I'm more into the pastry side though. you could also do fun decorated cupcakes- look online for ideas try Wilton first. Good luck

Make a cheeseball...sooooooo easy and everyone loves them!! Mix two bricks of cream cheese with one packet of hidden valley ranch dry dressing mix. Add a tiny bit of milk if it's hard to mix. Shape into a ball on a piece of wax paper or Saran Wrap and cover with fine shredded cheddar cheese. Serve with crackers. Yuuuuum!!!
