I am a married mother of two kids. One is in preschool, Gabe, age 4. The other is a 3-month old, Matthew, who is teething.

yes in small doses, my son had his first tooth at two months old and a gum gel worked well also rubbing your clean finger on the gum where the tooth is coming through will help relieve the pain

I used it on my son when he started teething at 2 1/2 months... I was scared at first but I needed SOMETHING! It helped him sleep so much better (still does, he's 6 months and just cut his third tooth today). I've just started reading stuff about not using too much, as it can numb the back of their throat (?), but personally, I've never had a problem with it.

Oral is good. However, it tends to toughen the gums so when more teeth come through you have to rely on it a lot. If you go to Wal-Mart or any other pharmacy they have excellent organic teething tablets that dissolve and helps babies over come teething pain. It worked on my twins and my daughter. They are $5 for a bottle of 240 or so. If you ask a pharmacist for help in finding them they know right where they are. My dr thinks they are great too.

its ok to use in small amounts, if you use to much or it touches anywhere else it will numb that area and they can sometimes have trouble swallowing . . a wet washcloth and tylonol will help to or a cold teether
