Hello,
My name is Heather. I just moved to Texas 2 years ago. I've been moving around since i can remember. I've never settled in one place for a long time making it hard to find friends. When I moved to Texas I hoped i'd find lots of 'Southern hospitality' friends! Unfortunately, I've yet to discover that. Anyway! Im a stay at home mom and im BORED. I'm 20 years old and I should be full of life and having a great time. Instead I sit at home with my child and watch my life pass by! I love being a stay at home mommy but man is it boring with NO ONE to talk to!! It seems like every time i try to make a friend they look at me like im trying to get into their pants! :D HAHA! I just want to make friends!!! I dont know what to do??

I am 32. I moved to Texas 9 years ago from California. Just had my first child and looking to network with other mothers.

Thanks for the advice! I definately feel that way sometimes.  You know i've wanted to join one of those groups but I dont know where to find them. I joined this thing hoping to find someone who did know! lol  There's gotta be mommies out there wanting to play!  haha!!!!

hi heather!

i totally understand where you're coming from! im 26 and i have 2 kids- a 6yr old son and an 18 month old daughter. and it was so hard to be a young mom!!! it's weird because most ppl ur age are out partying- talkin bout guys and make-up and ur stuck home w bubba- concerned w how many poops/feeds/vomits bub has had today! this site looks really good- so you made the right move coming on here! are there any young mom play groups in texas? i notice a lot of play group adverts on the notice boards in the parenting rooms in shopping centres, so maybe you could try going to one of those to meet other young women with similar interests to you? i also recently joined a gym- maybe you could meet ppl there! i know its hard not to feel isolated- but hang in there! and if youre ever feeling lonely- just come on here! im always up for a chat! lol take care!
